Precautions and warnings

For external use only. Stop using if you notice any irritation or sensitivity. Be careful when using on large areas of skin or under coverings like bandages or diapers. Do not apply to the face.

Drug Interactions

Examples include oral anticoagulants like warfarin, some oral diabetes medications, phenytoin, and hydrocortisone.

Contraindications

This medicine should not be used by people who have ever had an allergic reaction to Miconazole or any of its ingredients. It also should not be used by anyone with viral skin infections (such as herpes or chickenpox), perioral dermatitis, rosacea, skin ulcers, tuberculosis, or syphilis.

Mode of actions

Hydrocortisone is a type of corticosteroid medicine that helps reduce inflammation and suppress the immune system. It works by stopping certain white blood cells from moving to areas of inflammation and by making blood vessels less leaky. Hydrocortisone can also be used to treat people whose bodies do not make enough of certain hormones (adrenocortical insufficiency).

Miconazole is an antifungal medicine. It stops the fungus from making ergosterol, a key part of its cell wall. This damages the cell wall, making it leaky so important nutrients escape, which kills the fungus.

Dosage & Administration

Topical Skin fungal infections As 2% cream/ointment: Apply twice daily, not exceeding more than 7 days.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required despite potential risks.

Mothers with a newborn baby who have used this drug during the last 3 months of pregnancy may seldom create symptoms including drowsiness, muscle stiffness or shakiness, feeding or breathing troubles, constant crying. If you notice any of these symptoms of your baby's particularly during their first month, tell the doctor immediately.

This medicine passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
