Tell your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have diabetes, liver issues, or vitamin B12 deficiency, before using this drug.

Aspartame may be found as chewable pills or liquid formulations. Consult your doctor or pharmacist about how to use this drug safely if you have phenylketonuria or any other condition that requires you to limit your consumption of aspartame or phenylalanine.

Drug Interactions

Altretamine, cisplatin, certain antibiotics, such as chloramphenicol, certain anti-seizure medicines, levodopa, and other vitamin or nutritional supplements are some of the products that may interact with this drug.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of its components.

Mode of actions

Vitamin B is necessary for the production and maintenance of coenzyme A. Lipid metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, tissue respiration, glycogenolysis, and the suppression of very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) formation are all dependent on this enzyme. Increases the elimination of chylomicron triglycerides from plasma. Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) is essential for proper erythropoiesis, nucleoprotein and myelin synthesis, cell reproduction, and normal development. Intrinsic factor, a glycoprotein released by the stomach mucosa, is required for active Vitamin B12 absorption from the GI tract. It aids in the activation of pyridoxine and the conversion of tryptophan to niacin and is required for appropriate tissue respiration.

Dosage & Administration

Tablet/Capsule : 1-2, 3 times daily or as directed by the physician. Syrup : 2-3 teaspoonful daily. Injection : 2 ml daily IV or IM.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Adequate and well-controlled human studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in the first trimester of pregnancy and there is not enough evidence of risk in later trimesters.
