**Folic Acid:**
Some medicines can lower the levels of folic acid in your blood. These include anti-epileptic drugs, birth control pills, drugs for tuberculosis, alcohol, aminopterin, methotrexate, pyrimethamine, trimethoprim, and sulphonamides. Folic acid can also lower the amount of phenytoin (an anti-seizure drug) in your blood.

Mode of actions

Ferrous fumarate is a type of iron supplement used to prevent and treat low iron levels. Each gram of ferrous fumarate contains 330 mg of actual iron.

Folic acid is important for making DNA and keeping red blood cell production normal. In the body, folic acid is changed into its active form, tetrahydrofolic acid, by an enzyme called dihydrofolate reductase. Folic acid also helps prevent birth defects in the brain and spine of babies, so women who can become pregnant or are pregnant need higher amounts.
