Fungin is indicated for
- Skin
- nail fungal infections
- Tinea pedis
- Tinea cruris
- Tinea corporis
- Candidiasis
- Pityriasis versicolor
Precautions and warnings
Keep away from eyes when applying to the skin. Do not use on children.
Side-effects
- Topical: Erythema
- stinging
- irritation; hypersensitivity reactions; contact dermatitis.
Drug Interactions
Antagonism with polyene antibiotics.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Mode of actions
Clotrimazole is a type of antifungal medicine that works against many different fungi. It attaches to fats (phospholipids) in the cell membrane, changing how the cell wall works. This causes the cell to lose important substances it needs to survive.
Dosage & Administration
Topical/Cutaneous Skin and nail fungal infections: Adult: Apply 2 or 3 times daily. Onychomycosis: for 6 months.Tinea pedis & Dermatomycoses: for 4 weeks.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect even sometimes unable to demonstrate the risk on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required.

There is no specific information about whether this medicine is passed on to the baby through breast milk. Discuss with your doctor before breastfeeding.
