Precautions and warnings

Overdosage should be avoided. Renal failure patients who are mild to moderate. Patients with diabetes who are prone to recurrent renal calculi.

Contraindications

Patients who have a history of hypersensitivity to one or more of the components.

Mode of actions

Calcium carbonate/vitamin D3 helps to prevent or treat calcium deficiency. It also aids in the performance of nerves and muscles, as well as regular cardiac function. Cofactor in enzymatic activities; required for neurotransmission, muscle contraction, and a variety of signal transduction pathways.

Normal metabolic operations, including hematopoiesis, require vitamins and minerals. Vitamin D3 is a sterol that is fat-soluble. It is required for the maintenance of calcium and phosphate homeostasis as well as bone mineralization. Vitamin D is also necessary for strong bones because it helps calcium absorption from the gastrointestinal tract.
Vitamin C is required for collagen synthesis and tissue repair; it also participates in oxidation/reduction events and other metabolic pathways, such as the manufacture of catecholamines, carnitine, and steroids; and it aids in the conversion of folic acid to folinic acid.

Vitamin E protects red blood cells from hemolysis, protects polyunsaturated fatty acids in cell membranes from free radicals, and prevents vitamin A and C from oxidation.

Zinc is a cofactor in over 100 enzymes, plays a part in DNA production, and helps to keep the immune system in good shape. Copper is a cofactor in a number of enzymes, including ceruloplasmin, and is involved in the synthesis of transferrin, an iron carrier protein. Aids in the maintenance of normal red and white blood cell production and the prevention of deficient symptoms. Magnesium is a cofactor in a variety of biochemical activities including protein synthesis and glucose metabolism; it also depresses the central nervous system, prevents peripheral neuromuscular transmission, and has anticonvulsant properties.

Dosage & Administration

One tablet daily or as recommended by the physician.

Pregnancy & Lactation

FDA has not yet classified this medicine into a specified pregnancy category. Although there is no enough evidence that taking this medicine during you are pregnant is harmful.

Discuss with your doctor if you are trying to get pregnant while taking this medicine too.

If you do become pregnant while you are taking this medicine, you should continue to take it and contact with your doctors as quickly as possible. They can assist you to decide whether or not to keep taking this medicine. If you abandon taking this medicine and become sick, this would be more pernicious to your child than staying on the medication.


There is no specific information about whether this medicine is passed on to the baby through breast milk. During this medication, if your baby becomes very sleepy, restless, fatigued, exhibit feeding problems, stop breastfeeding and talk to your doctors very quickly.
