Side-effects
- صداع، آلام في البطن، إسهال، غثيان، قيء، تفاعلات حساسية، فقر دم، فقدان الشهية، زيادة الشهية، زيادة الكرياتينين و LFT، تعرق، دوخة، تغير لون العين والبول، حمى، انتفاخ البطن، ارتفاع ضغط الدم، العدوى، التوعك، الغثيان، الحكة، التهاب الأنف، تضخم الغدد اللعابية، عدم انتظام دقات القلب.
Drug Interactions
قد يتفاعل مع الأدوية شديدة الارتباط بالبروتين مثل الوارفارين.

Mode of actions
نيتازوكسانيد هو نوع من الأدوية المضادة للأوالي. في الأنواع الحساسة، يتداخل كل من نيتازوكسانيد ومستقلبه النشط (تيزوكسانيد) مع عملية نقل الإلكترون المعتمدة على الإنزيم البيروفات: فيريدوكسين 2-أكسيدوريدوكتيز (PFOR)، وهو أمر مطلوب لعملية التمثيل الغذائي اللاهوائي.
Dosage & Administration
العمر 1 - 3 سنوات: 5 مل (100 مجم) مرتين يومياً لمدة 3 أيام، العمر 4 - 11 سنة: 10 مل (200 مجم) مرتين يومياً لمدة 3 أيام، العمر > 12 سنة: 25 مل أو قرص واحد (500 مجم) مرتين يومياً لمدة 3 أيام.
Pregnancy & Lactation
على الرغم من أن دراسات التكاثر الحيواني أظهرت تأثيرًا سلبيًا حتى في بعض الأحيان غير قادرة على إثبات المخاطر على الجنين ولا توجد دراسات كافية ومراقبة بشكل جيد عند النساء الحوامل، ولكن أثناء الحمل، يمكن استخدام هذا الدواء فقط عند الحاجة إليه بالتأكيد.
