Precautions and warnings
Patient of Lactation and pregnancy should avoid getting your hands in your eyes, mouth, or other mucous membranes. Using occlusive dressings or wrappings is not recommended. Recommend that the patient only wash his or her face with extremely mild soaps or soapless cleansing creams. In patients with a dark complexion, keep an eye out for hypopigmentation. Children's safety and efficacy have not been established.

Drug Interactions
There have been no rigorous studies of Azelaic Acid Gel's interaction with other medications.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Mode of actions
Azelaic acid is an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid that occurs naturally. The specific mechanism of action in the treatment of acne vulgaris is still unknown. It is thought to impede the growth of susceptible organisms (most notably Propionibacteria Acnes) on the skin's surface, as well as follicular keratinisation, limiting the formation of comedones. In the therapy of rosacea, the mechanism of action is uncertain.
Dosage & Administration
Adult: Topical Acne As a 20% cream: Apply twice daily onto the affected areas.
Rosacea: Apply twice daily onto the affected areas.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect even sometimes unable to demonstrate the risk on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required.

There is no specific information about whether this medicine is passed on to the baby through breast milk. Discuss with your doctor before breastfeeding.
