**Folic Acid:**
Certain medications—such as antiepileptics, birth control pills, drugs for tuberculosis, alcohol, aminopterin, methotrexate, pyrimethamine, trimethoprim, and sulphonamides—can lower folic acid (folate) levels in your blood. Folic acid can also reduce the amount of phenytoin (a seizure medicine) in your blood.

**Vitamin C:**
The effectiveness or blood levels of vitamin C may be affected when taken with deferoxamine, birth control pills, fluphenazine, warfarin, iron supplements, salicylates, disulfiram, mexiletine, and vitamin B12.

Contraindications

This medicine should not be used by patients who are allergic to any of its ingredients or who have haemolytic anemia.

Mode of actions

**Iron** is crucial for making hemoglobin, the part of red blood cells that carries oxygen. Your body needs enough iron to produce healthy red blood cells and for several important enzymes, such as those involved in energy production. Iron also helps move oxygen throughout your body by being a key part of hemoglobin and myoglobin.

**Folic acid** is needed to create DNA and make new red blood cells. In the liver and blood, it's converted to its active form, tetrahydrofolic acid. Folic acid helps prevent birth defects of the neural tube in babies, so women who might become pregnant or are pregnant need higher amounts.

**Vitamin B** helps make and keep up coenzyme A, which is important for breaking down fats and carbohydrates, for energy, and for storing sugar. It also helps remove harmful fats from the blood and may lower high triglyceride levels.

**Vitamin C** is needed to form collagen and repair tissues in the body. It also helps with certain chemical reactions, such as making important substances like hormones and carnitine, and helps convert folic acid into its active form.
