Some organisms in live, attenuated vaccines may be potentiated by this substance.
Some immunizations can worsen neurologic responses (supraphysiologic dosages).

Management of chronic asthma
Adults & children over 12 years: 100-400 mcg twice daily.
Children (5-12 years): 100-200 mcg twice daily. Maximum 200-400 mcg twice daily.
Prophylaxis of asthma
Adults & children over 12 years: 50-200 mcg twice daily. Increased if necessary to maximum 400 mcg twice daily.
Children (5-12 years): The usual starting dose is 100 mcg twice daily. Depending on the severity of asthma, the daily dose may be increased up to 400 mcg administered in 2-4 divided doses.
When patient's symptoms remain under satisfactory control, the dose should be titrated to the lowest dose at which effective control of asthma is maintained.
Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required despite potential risks.
Mothers with a newborn baby who have used this drug during the last 3 months of pregnancy may seldom create symptoms including drowsiness, muscle stiffness or shakiness, feeding or breathing troubles, constant crying. If you notice any of these symptoms of your baby's particularly during their first month, tell the doctor immediately.
This medicine passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
