Stop taking the medication right away if you suddenly lose some or all of your vision, notice your eye bulging, or have double vision. Also discontinue if you have a history of migraine or blood clots, epilepsy, asthma, heart or kidney problems. Be cautious if you have had depression, trouble with blood sugar, or diabetes. This medicine could make it unsafe to drive or use machines. Do not stop taking progesterone suddenly. Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
Do not use this medication if you have any of the following: allergies to it, blood clots in veins (thrombophlebitis), stroke, serious liver problems, unexplained vaginal bleeding, incomplete miscarriage, hormone-dependent cancer, or if you are using it just to check for pregnancy. It also should not be used during pregnancy or if you have a history of, or are at high risk for, arterial (blood vessel) disease.
Progesterone is the main hormone produced by the corpus luteum. It causes the lining of the uterus to become secretory, helps the mammary glands develop, relaxes the uterus, prevents new eggs from maturing and being released, and supports pregnancy.
Oral
Progestogen component of menopausal hormonal replacement therapy. Adult: 200 mg daily as a single daily dose at night for 12-14 days of each mth.
Amenorrhoea Adult: 400 mg daily for 10 days.
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Adult: 400 mg daily for 10 days.
Vaginal Gel
Dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Adult: 45 mg every other day from the 15th-25th day of the cycle. May increase dose to 90 mg in non-responders.

Amenorrhoea. Adult: 45 mg every other day from the 15th-25th day of the cycle. May increase dose to 90 mg in non-responders.
Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect even sometimes unable to demonstrate the risk on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required.
