Precautions and warnings

This product may contain inactive ingredients, such as sesame oil, that could cause allergic reactions or other issues. Before using this medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any of the following: breast cancer (in men), prostate cancer, heart problems (like chest pain, heart failure, or a heart attack), liver or kidney disease, any other type of cancer, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, an enlarged prostate, sleep apnea, or diabetes.

This medicine may lower your blood sugar and can affect your cholesterol, increasing your risk of heart or blood vessel problems. Your doctor will check your cholesterol regularly.

Be careful if giving this medicine to children, as it may slow bone growth and lead to shorter adult height. Your child’s doctor will monitor their growth during treatment.

Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, as it could harm your unborn baby.

Drug Interactions

Testosterone and similar drugs can make oral anticoagulants (blood thinners) work more strongly. If you take both, your doctor will need to watch you closely, especially when starting or stopping testosterone treatment. You may need more frequent blood tests—such as prothrombin time and INR—to check how your blood is clotting.

Testosterone taken with ACTH or corticosteroids can increase the risk of fluid retention (edema). Because of this, doctors should be careful when giving these together, especially to patients who have heart or liver problems or are already at risk of swelling.

Contraindications

High calcium levels in the blood or urine, men who have breast or prostate cancer, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid this.

Mode of actions

Testosterone is the main natural hormone that helps male sexual organs grow and develop. It also keeps up male physical traits in men who don’t have enough androgens.

Dosage & Administration

By deep IM injection 1 ml usually 1 to 4 weeks. Dosage is based on your medical condition, testosterone blood levels, and response to treatment.

Pregnancy & Lactation

This medicine must not be used during pregnancy. It can be absorbed through the skin and lungs caused can damage your unborn child’s organs and cause congenital disabilities. Strict two effective types of birth control starting one month before and during treatment and for three years after stopping this medicine. Discuss with your doctors if you are not sure which types of birth control are effective for you. You must need to take pregnancy tests regularly during your treatment with this medicine and for at least three years after taking this medicine. If it seems that you do become pregnant stop taking this medicine and call your doctor immediately. If you really become pregnant, miss a menstrual period, or have sex without using two forms of birth control. In some cases, your doctor can prescribe emergency contraception to prevent pregnancy. People on this medicine should not donate blood during the treatment and for three years afterward.

This medicine is also contraindicated breast milk. Breastfeeding is not recommended while using this medication and for three years afterward.
