Drug Interactions
Informez votre médecin ou votre pharmacien de tous les produits sur ordonnance et en vente libre que vous prenez, y compris la pénicillamine et les produits contenant du phosphore, avant de prendre ce médicament.
D'autres médicaments comme les antibiotiques tétracyclines (comme la doxycycline et la minocycline), les bisphosphonates (comme l'alendronate) et les antibiotiques quinolones peuvent être affectés par ce produit (comme la ciprofloxacine, la lévofloxacine). Séparez autant que possible vos doses de ces médicaments de vos doses de ce produit. Demandez à votre médecin ou à votre pharmacien combien de temps vous devez attendre entre les doses et s'ils peuvent vous aider à trouver un schéma posologique qui fonctionne pour tous vos médicaments.
Contraindications
Il est contre-indiqué chez les patients présentant une hypersensibilité au zinc.
Mode of actions
Le zinc est un cofacteur dans plus de 100 enzymes, joue un rôle dans la synthèse de l'ADN, favorise un système immunitaire sain, aide au maintien de l'odorat et du goût et peut aider l'insuline à fonctionner correctement.
Dosage & Administration
Comprimé : Pour les nourrissons âgés de 2 à 6 mois : 10 mg de zinc une fois par jour pendant 10 à 14 jours. Pour les enfants âgés de 6 mois à 5 ans : 20 mg de zinc une fois par jour pendant 10 à 14 jours. Pour d'autres indications La dose recommandée pour les enfants est de 2 à 2,5 mg/kg/jour. Enfants de moins de 10 kg : 10 mg de Zinc 2 fois par jour. Enfants de 10 à 30 kg : 20 mg de zinc 1 à 3 fois par jour. Adultes et enfants de plus de 30 kg : 40 mg de zinc 1 à 3 fois par jour.
Sirop : Enfant de moins de 10 kg : 5 ml (1 cuillère à café) 2 fois par jour. Enfant de 10 à 30 kg : 10 ml (2 cuillères à café) 1 à 3 fois par jour. Adultes et enfants de plus de 30 kg : 20 ml (4 cuillères à café) 1 à 3 fois par jour.
Pregnancy & Lactation
La FDA n'a pas encore classé ce médicament dans une catégorie de grossesse spécifiée. Bien qu’il n’y ait pas suffisamment de preuves démontrant que la prise de ce médicament pendant la grossesse est nocive.
Discutez avec votre médecin si vous essayez également de tomber enceinte pendant que vous prenez ce médicament.
Si vous tombez enceinte pendant que vous prenez ce médicament, vous devez continuer à le prendre et contacter votre médecin le plus rapidement possible. Ils peuvent vous aider à décider de continuer ou non à prendre ce médicament. Si vous arrêtez de prendre ce médicament et tombez malade, cela serait plus pernicieux pour votre enfant que de continuer à prendre le médicament.

Pendant que vous prenez ce médicament, si votre bébé devient très somnolent, agité, fatigué, présente des problèmes d'alimentation, arrêtez de l'allaiter et parlez-en très rapidement à votre médecin.
