Mode of actions

Iron: Iron is essential for making hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen. It is also needed for the creation of healthy red blood cells and acts as a helper for important enzymes like cytochromes, which are involved in energy production. Your body stores iron mainly in hemoglobin, myoglobin, and certain enzymes, and hemoglobin uses iron to transport oxygen throughout the body.

Folic acid: Folic acid is necessary for making DNA and proteins, and for the production of healthy red blood cells. In the liver and blood, an enzyme called dihydrofolate reductase turns folic acid into its active form, tetrahydrofolic acid. Folic acid also helps prevent birth defects like neural tube defects in women who may become pregnant, and the need for folic acid increases during pregnancy.

Zinc: Zinc is a helper for over 100 enzymes in the body. It’s important for making DNA, keeping the immune system strong, and maintaining normal senses of taste and smell. Zinc may also help insulin work better.

Vitamin A: Vitamin A is needed for good vision, especially for the retina, and for the healthy growth and development of skin and other tissues.

Vitamin C: Vitamin C is important for making collagen, which helps repair tissues. It also acts as an antioxidant and is involved in several body processes, such as making certain hormones and converting folic acid to folinic acid.
