Precautions and warnings
Use this medicine carefully if you have liver or kidney problems, a history of prolonged QTc interval, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Drug Interactions
Taking ketoconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin, or erythromycin at the same time as ebastine can raise the amount of ebastine in your blood and may lead to a longer QTc interval in your heart rhythm.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, cardiac arrhythmias.
Mode of actions
Ebastine is a type of antihistamine that belongs to the piperidine group. It works for a long time and does not usually cause drowsiness because it mainly affects H1 receptors outside the brain. In the body, ebastine is changed into its active form called carebastine. Ebastine helps reduce allergy symptoms and prevents the airways from narrowing due to histamine. It doesn’t cause much sleepiness or have strong effects on other body systems.
Dosage & Administration
Adult: PO 10-20 mg once daily.
Child: >6 yr: 5 mg once daily.
Pregnancy & Lactation
FDA has not yet classified this medicine into a specified pregnancy category. Although there is no enough evidence that taking this medicine during you are pregnant is harmful.
Discuss with your doctor if you are trying to get pregnant while taking this medicine too.
If you do become pregnant while you are taking this medicine, you should continue to take it and contact with your doctors as quickly as possible. They can assist you to decide whether or not to keep taking this medicine. If you abandon taking this medicine and become sick, this would be more pernicious to your child than staying on the medication.
There is no specific information about whether this medicine is passed on to the baby through breast milk. During this medication, if your baby becomes very sleepy, restless, fatigued, exhibit feeding problems, stop breastfeeding and talk to your doctors very quickly.
