Ketotifen 0.25 % Eye prep Similar medicine
Eye drops contain benzalkonium chloride as a preservative, which can build up on soft contact lenses. Because of this, Ketotifen eye drops should not be used while wearing contact lenses. You should take out your lenses before using the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.

Serious Warning: These medications may increase the effects of sedatives, sleeping pills, antihistamines, and alcohol on your brain and nervous system, which can be very dangerous.
This medicine should not be used by patients who are allergic to ketotifen or any of its ingredients.
Ketotifen works by blocking the release of substances from cells that cause allergic reactions. It also helps to stabilize mast cells, which play a key role in these reactions.
Adults and children over 3 years of age: 1 drop Ketotifen eye drop into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) twice a day or as directed by the physician.
Children below 3 years of age: Not recommended.
Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required despite potential risks.
Mothers with a newborn baby who have used this drug during the last 3 months of pregnancy may seldom create symptoms including drowsiness, muscle stiffness or shakiness, feeding or breathing troubles, constant crying. If you notice any of these symptoms of your baby's particularly during their first month, tell the doctor immediately.
This medicine passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
