Precautions and warnings
معدے اور گرہنی کے السر کے ساتھ ساتھ آکسیجن کی خرابی کے مریضوں کو امبروکسول کو احتیاط کے ساتھ استعمال کرنا چاہیے۔ جگر یا گردوں کی خرابی والے مریضوں کو احتیاط کے ساتھ استعمال کرنا چاہیے۔

Contraindications
Ambroxol or Bromhexine کی انتہائی حساسیت مخالف علامت ہے۔
Mode of actions
Ambroxol ایک Bromhexine میٹابولائٹ ہے۔ Mucokinetic (بلغم کی نقل و حمل کو بہتر بناتا ہے) اور secretolytic (liquefies secretions) دونوں خصوصیات موجود ہیں۔ امبروکسول برونچی کی چپچپا جھلی کے غدود کے سیرس خلیوں کو متحرک کرکے بلغم کے اخراج کو بڑھاتا ہے۔ mucolytic عمل mucoproteins اور mucopolysaccharide fibres کے depolymerization اور ٹوٹنے کی وجہ سے ہوتا ہے، جس کے نتیجے میں بلغم کی viscosity میں کمی واقع ہوتی ہے۔ بلغم کے اخراج میں مدد ملتی ہے، اور سانس لینا بہت آسان بنا دیا جاتا ہے۔ امبروکسول سرفیکٹینٹ فاسفولیپڈس کے الیوولر سیل کی ترکیب کو فروغ دیتا ہے۔ Ambroxol ایک اینٹی سوزش مادہ ہے. یہ COPD مریضوں میں ایئر وے کی پیٹنسی کو بہتر بناتا ہے۔
Dosage & Administration
بچوں کے قطرے:
0 - 6 ماہ کی عمر - 0.5 ملی لیٹر، دن میں 2 بار،
6 - 12 ماہ کی عمر - 1 ملی لیٹر، دن میں 2 بار،
1 - 2 سال کی عمر میں -1.25 ملی لیٹر، دن میں 2 بار۔
شربت: 2-5 سال کی عمر میں - 2.5 ملی لیٹر (1/2 چائے کا چمچ)، دن میں 2-3 بار،
5 - 10 سال کی عمر - 5 ملی لیٹر (1 چائے کا چمچ)، دن میں 2-3 بار،
10 سال اور بالغ افراد - 10 ملی لیٹر (2 چائے کا چمچ)، دن میں 3 بار۔
SR کیپسول: بالغ اور 12 سال سے زیادہ عمر کے بچے - 1 کیپسول، روزانہ ایک بار
Pregnancy & Lactation
ایف ڈی اے نے ابھی تک اس دوا کو حمل کے مخصوص زمرے میں درجہ بندی نہیں کیا ہے۔ اگرچہ اس بات کا کوئی ثبوت نہیں ہے کہ حمل کے دوران یہ دوا لینا نقصان دہ ہے۔
اگر آپ یہ دوا لیتے ہوئے بھی حاملہ ہونے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں تو اپنے ڈاکٹر سے بات کریں۔
اگر آپ یہ دوا لیتے وقت حاملہ ہو جاتے ہیں، تو آپ کو اسے لینا جاری رکھنا چاہیے اور جتنی جلدی ممکن ہو اپنے ڈاکٹروں سے رابطہ کریں۔ وہ یہ فیصلہ کرنے میں آپ کی مدد کر سکتے ہیں کہ آیا اس دوا کو جاری رکھنا ہے یا نہیں۔ اگر آپ یہ دوا لینا چھوڑ دیتے ہیں اور بیمار ہو جاتے ہیں، تو یہ آپ کے بچے کے لیے دوائی پر رہنے سے زیادہ نقصان دہ ہو گا۔
اس بارے میں کوئی خاص معلومات نہیں ہے کہ آیا یہ دوا ماں کے دودھ کے ذریعے بچے تک پہنچتی ہے۔ اس دوا کے دوران، اگر آپ کا بچہ بہت زیادہ نیند، بے چین، تھکاوٹ، دودھ پلانے میں دشواری کا شکار ہو جائے، دودھ پلانا بند کر دیں اور اپنے ڈاکٹروں سے بہت جلد بات کریں۔
