Precautions and warnings
Verwenden Sie dieses Arzneimittel vorsichtig, wenn Sie Leber- oder Nierenprobleme haben, in der Vergangenheit ein verlängertes QTc-Intervall hatten, schwanger sind oder stillen.

Drug Interactions
Die gleichzeitige Einnahme von Ketoconazol, Itraconazol, Clarithromycin oder Erythromycin mit Ebastin kann die Ebastinmenge in Ihrem Blut erhöhen und zu einem längeren QTc-Intervall in Ihrem Herzrhythmus führen.
Contraindications
Überempfindlichkeit, Herzrhythmusstörungen.
Mode of actions
Ebastin ist eine Art Antihistaminikum, das zur Piperidingruppe gehört. Es wirkt lange und verursacht normalerweise keine Schläfrigkeit, da es hauptsächlich H1-Rezeptoren außerhalb des Gehirns beeinflusst. Im Körper wird Ebastin in seine aktive Form namens Carebastin umgewandelt. Ebastin hilft, Allergiesymptome zu lindern und verhindert eine Verengung der Atemwege durch Histamin. Es verursacht keine große Schläfrigkeit und hat auch keine starken Auswirkungen auf andere Körpersysteme.
Dosage & Administration
Erwachsene: 10–20 mg p.o. einmal täglich.
Kind: >6 Jahre: 5 mg einmal täglich.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Die FDA hat dieses Arzneimittel noch nicht in eine bestimmte Schwangerschaftskategorie eingestuft. Allerdings gibt es keine ausreichenden Beweise dafür, dass die Einnahme dieses Arzneimittels während der Schwangerschaft schädlich ist.
Besprechen Sie dies mit Ihrem Arzt, wenn Sie versuchen, während der Einnahme dieses Arzneimittels schwanger zu werden.
Wenn Sie während der Einnahme dieses Arzneimittels schwanger werden, sollten Sie die Einnahme fortsetzen und so schnell wie möglich Kontakt zu Ihrem Arzt aufnehmen. Sie können Ihnen bei der Entscheidung helfen, ob Sie dieses Arzneimittel weiterhin einnehmen sollen oder nicht. Wenn Sie die Einnahme dieses Arzneimittels abbrechen und krank werden, wäre dies für Ihr Kind schädlicher, als die Einnahme des Arzneimittels beizubehalten.
Es liegen keine spezifischen Informationen darüber vor, ob dieses Arzneimittel über die Muttermilch auf das Baby übertragen wird. Wenn Ihr Baby während der Einnahme dieser Medikation sehr schläfrig, unruhig oder müde wird oder Probleme beim Füttern hat, hören Sie mit dem Stillen auf und sprechen Sie umgehend mit Ihrem Arzt.
