Certain medications can make the pill less effective. If you are taking any medicines—like antibiotics, rifampicin, or seizure medications—talk to your doctor. You might need to use another form of birth control while you are taking these drugs.
Medicines that increase the activity of CYP1A2 and CYP3A4 (like aminoglutethimide, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, and rifampin) can reduce how well estradiol works. Using estradiol with hydrocortisone or prednisolone may make their effects stronger. Estradiol can also change how blood thinners like dicoumarol work.
**Serious risks:**
Some antibiotics (such as ampicillin, tetracycline, sulphonamides, and chloramphenicol) may cause irregular bleeding between periods or make birth control fail. Estradiol can also make blood pressure or diabetes medicines less effective, so dosage adjustments might be needed if you take antidiabetics. Drugs that speed up liver enzymes (like carbamazepine, griseofulvin, phenobarbital, phenytoin, and rifampicin) can decrease how well estradiol works.
**Life-threatening risk:**
Estradiol can raise the levels and toxicity of ciclosporin, which may be dangerous.
**Pregnancy**
Do not use if you are pregnant.
**Heart problems**
Do not use if you have heart or blood vessel diseases.
**Blood clots**
Do not use if you have a history of blood clots.
**Serious high blood pressure**
Do not use if you have very high blood pressure.
**Severe liver problems**
Do not use if you have serious liver disease.
**Certain cancers**
Do not use if you have or might have tumors that depend on estrogen.
**Thickened uterine lining**
Do not use if you have an overgrowth of the lining of the uterus (endometrial hyperplasia).
Oestradiol is the main type of oestrogen found in women before menopause. Ethinylestradiol works in a similar way to oestradiol. These hormones help develop and maintain the female reproductive system and secondary sexual features, like breasts. They also send signals to the brain (specifically the anterior pituitary) to reduce hormone production through a process called negative feedback. Additionally, they can cause blood vessels to widen, the body to retain more fluid, and help build proteins.
Lynestrenol is a progestogen, which means it is similar to the hormone norethisterone. It can be taken by itself or used as the progestogen part of some birth control pills.
One pill is to be taken daily.
Women should be instructed to take the pills at about the same time every day, preferably after the evening meal or at bedtime.
Each subsequent pack is started on the day after the current pack is completed.Continue taking one pill each day.It is most likely that your menstruation will start while taking the brown pills. Do not discontinue taking the brown pills.

This medicine must not be used during pregnancy. It can be absorbed through the skin and lungs caused can damage your unborn child’s organs and cause congenital disabilities. Strict two effective types of birth control starting one month before and during treatment and for three years after stopping this medicine. Discuss with your doctors if you are not sure which types of birth control are effective for you. You must need to take pregnancy tests regularly during your treatment with this medicine and for at least three years after taking this medicine. If it seems that you do become pregnant stop taking this medicine and call your doctor immediately. If you really become pregnant, miss a menstrual period, or have sex without using two forms of birth control. In some cases, your doctor can prescribe emergency contraception to prevent pregnancy. People on this medicine should not donate blood during the treatment and for three years afterward.
This medicine is also contraindicated breast milk. Breastfeeding is not recommended while using this medication and for three years afterward.
