Precautions and warnings
پرائمنگ: اس سے پہلے کہ آپ پہلی بار ناک سپرے استعمال کریں، نیچے دبائیں اور 5 سپرے چھوڑ دیں (یا جب تک کہ آپ کو اچھی دھند نظر نہ آئے)۔ اگر آپ نے ناک کے اسپرے کو 7 دنوں سے زیادہ استعمال نہیں کیا ہے تو اسے دوبارہ پرائم کرنے کے لیے 2 سپرے دبائیں اور چھوڑ دیں۔ ناک کے اسپرے کو اپنی آنکھوں میں نہ چھڑکیں۔
مریضوں کو بتائیں کہ وہ ناک کے اسپرے کو اپنی آنکھوں میں نہ چھڑکیں۔
Side-effects
- سائیڈ ایفیکٹس منہ میں کڑوا ذائقہ، ناک سے خون بہنا، یا ناک میں جلن/درد ہو سکتا ہے۔ غنودگی شاذ و نادر ہی واقع ہوسکتی ہے۔ اگر ان میں سے کوئی بھی اثر برقرار رہتا ہے یا خراب ہوتا ہے، تو اپنے ڈاکٹر یا فارماسسٹ کو فوری طور پر بتائیں۔
Drug Interactions
مرکزی اعصابی نظام (سی این ایس) کو افسردہ کرنے والی دوسری دوائیوں کے ساتھ لینے پر غنودگی یا بے سکونی میں اضافہ ہو سکتا ہے۔
Contraindications
اگر آپ کو olopatadine یا اس کے کسی اجزاء سے الرجی ہے تو اس دوا کا استعمال نہ کریں۔
Mode of actions
Olopatadine ایک ایسی دوا ہے جو بنیادی طور پر ہسٹامین H1 ریسیپٹرز کو روکتی ہے اور مخصوص خلیوں سے ہسٹامائن کے اخراج کو روکنے میں مدد کرتی ہے جسے مستول خلیات کہتے ہیں۔ یہ ہسٹامین کو آنکھ کی سطح پر موجود خلیوں کو متاثر کرنے سے بھی روکتا ہے۔ Olopatadine مستول سیل اسٹیبلائزرز کے نام سے جانے والی دوسری دوائیوں کی طرح کام کرتا ہے۔
Dosage & Administration
12 سال اور اس سے زیادہ عمر کے بالغ اور نوعمر: دن میں دو بار فی نتھنے پر دو سپرے کریں۔
6 سے 11 سال کی عمر کے بچے: دن میں دو بار فی نتھنے میں ایک سپرے۔
Pregnancy & Lactation
اگرچہ جانوروں کی تولیدی مطالعات نے جنین پر منفی اثر دکھایا ہے اور حاملہ خواتین میں کوئی مناسب اور اچھی طرح سے کنٹرول شدہ مطالعہ نہیں ہیں، لیکن حمل کے دوران، اس دوا کو ممکنہ خطرات کے باوجود یقینی طور پر ضرورت کے وقت استعمال کیا جا سکتا ہے۔
ایک نوزائیدہ بچے کے ساتھ مائیں جنہوں نے حمل کے آخری 3 مہینوں کے دوران اس دوا کا استعمال کیا ہے وہ شاذ و نادر ہی علامات پیدا کر سکتی ہیں جن میں غنودگی، پٹھوں کی اکڑن یا لرزش، کھانا کھلانے یا سانس لینے میں دشواری، مسلسل رونا شامل ہیں۔ اگر آپ کو اپنے بچے کی ان علامات میں سے کوئی خاص طور پر اس کے پہلے مہینے کے دوران نظر آتی ہے تو فوراً ڈاکٹر کو بتائیں۔
یہ دوا چھاتی کے دودھ میں جاتی ہے۔ دودھ پلانے سے پہلے اپنے ڈاکٹر سے بات کریں۔
