Fluocinolone 0.01% + Hydroquinone 4% + Tretinoin 0.05% Topical Similar medicine
This cream contains hydroquinone and tretinoin, which may cause mild to moderate skin irritation. Possible side effects include redness, peeling, slight burning, dryness, and itching. Temporary redness or mild burning usually does not mean you need to stop using the cream. However, if you have signs of an allergic reaction or strong irritation, you should stop using it.
The cream also contains a corticosteroid called fluocinolone acetonide. If your body absorbs too much of this ingredient through your skin, it can temporarily affect your hormones and may cause problems like Cushing’s syndrome, high blood sugar, or sugar in your urine. If hormone problems are noticed, you should stop using the cream.
Soaps and cleansers that are medicated, gritty, or drying; skincare products that contain a lot of alcohol or astringents; and other irritating or peeling drugs should be avoided. Also, be careful with medications that make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.
If you have ever had an allergic reaction, sensitivity, or intolerance to this product or any of its ingredients, do not use it.
Fluocinolone acetonide is a man-made steroid used on the skin to reduce inflammation, itching, and redness. Hydroquinone is used to lighten dark spots on the skin. Tretinoin, a form of vitamin A, helps skin cells grow and renew more quickly, and it also makes the skin cells less sticky to prevent clogged pores.
It should be applied at least 30 minutes before bedtime. A thin film of the cream should be applied to the hyperpigmented areas of melasma including about ½ inch of normal appearing skin surrounding each lesion.
Cream is for short-term (up to 8 weeks) treatment of moderate to severe melasma of the face. It is not for long-term (more than 8 weeks) or maintenance (continuous) treatment of melasma.
Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required despite potential risks.
Mothers with a newborn baby who have used this drug during the last 3 months of pregnancy may seldom create symptoms including drowsiness, muscle stiffness or shakiness, feeding or breathing troubles, constant crying. If you notice any of these symptoms of your baby's particularly during their first month, tell the doctor immediately.
This medicine passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
