Precautions and warnings
Heart or kidney problems, high blood pressure, epilepsy, migraines, asthma, diabetes, or any condition that can get worse due to fluid retention, trouble absorbing nutrients, recent ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cysts, or blood clots. Also, caution should be taken during breastfeeding.

Drug Interactions
Some medications, such as carbamazepine, griseofulvin, phenobarbital, phenytoin, and rifampicin, can speed up the body’s metabolism of antidiabetic drugs, making them less effective. Because of this, you may need to change the dose of your antidiabetic medicine.
**Warning:** These drugs may also raise the levels and risk of toxicity of ciclosporin, which can be very dangerous.
Contraindications
Unexplained vaginal bleeding, current blood clots or serious artery disease, liver problems, certain hormone-sensitive tumors, or porphyria. Should not be used during pregnancy.
Mode of actions
Lynestrenol is a type of progestogen that is similar in structure to norethisterone. It can be used by itself or as the progestogen part in certain birth control pills.
Dosage & Administration
Adult: PO Contraception 0.5 mg/day when used alone or 0.75-2.5 mg/day when used w/ an oestrogen.
Menstrual disorders 5-10 mg/day as cyclic regimen.
Pregnancy & Lactation
This medicine is not allowed during pregnancy. Do not use it if you are pregnant. It can be absorbed through the skin and lungs caused can damage your unborn child’s organs and cause congenital disabilities. Strict effective birth control during treatment and for six months after stopping this medicine. If you do become pregnant, stop taking this medicine and discuss your doctor right away.
There is no specific information on whether this medicine passes into breast milk or not. Considering the possible risks for the children, breastfeeding while using this medicine is not recommended and at least two weeks after the last dose. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
