Precautions and warnings
Les personnes atteintes de glaucome à angle fermé ou celles à risque de glaucome, ainsi que les personnes souffrant de problèmes rénaux ou hépatiques, doivent faire preuve de prudence. Cela s’applique également aux femmes enceintes ou allaitantes, aux enfants et aux personnes âgées.
Side-effects
- Glaucome aigu à angle fermé
- sécheresse nasale et épistaxis (spray nasal). Potentiellement mortel : réactions anaphylactiques
- fibrillation auriculaire
- tachycardie supraventriculaire.
Drug Interactions
Toxicité accrue avec d'autres médicaments anticholinergiques.
Mode of actions
Le bromure d'ipratropium agit en bloquant l'acétylcholine à certains endroits des poumons, ce qui aide à détendre les muscles des voies respiratoires et facilite la respiration.
Dosage & Administration
Adultes : Rhinorrhée nasale associée à une rhinite ; Rhinite allergique saisonnière En spray nasal dosé (0,06 %) : 42 mcg dans chaque narine 2 à 3 fois/jour, jusqu'à 84 mcg dans chaque narine 3 à 4 fois/jour.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Bien que les études sur la reproduction animale aient montré un effet indésirable, même parfois sans pouvoir démontrer le risque pour le fœtus et qu'il n'existe pas d'études adéquates et bien contrôlées chez la femme enceinte, ce médicament peut être utilisé pendant la grossesse juste en cas de nécessité absolue.
