Precautions and warnings

Side-effects
- Akutes Engwinkelglaukom
- Nasentrockenheit und Epistaxis (Nasenspray). Potenziell tödlich: Anaphylaktische Reaktionen
- Vorhofflimmern
- supraventrikuläre Tachykardie.
Drug Interactions
Erhöhte Toxizität mit anderen Anticholinergika.
Mode of actions
Ipratropiumbromid wirkt, indem es Acetylcholin an bestimmten Stellen in der Lunge blockiert, was zur Entspannung der Atemwegsmuskulatur beiträgt und das Atmen erleichtert.
Dosage & Administration
Erwachsene: Nasenrhinorrhoe in Verbindung mit Rhinitis; Saisonale allergische Rhinitis Als dosiertes Nasenspray (0,06 %): 42 µg in jedes Nasenloch 2–3 Mal/Tag, bis zu 84 µg in jedes Nasenloch 3–4 Mal/Tag.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Obwohl tierexperimentelle Reproduktionsstudien eine nachteilige Wirkung gezeigt haben und manchmal sogar kein Risiko für den Fötus nachgewiesen werden konnte, und es keine ausreichenden und gut kontrollierten Studien bei schwangeren Frauen gibt, kann dieses Arzneimittel während der Schwangerschaft nur dann angewendet werden, wenn dies unbedingt erforderlich ist.
