Drug Interactions
Certains médicaments peuvent augmenter la quantité de médicament dans votre sang en affectant les enzymes hépatiques. Les exemples incluent l'azithromycine, la cimétidine, l'érythromycine, la fluoxétine et le kétoconazole.
L'utilisation de ce médicament avec certains autres médicaments peut augmenter le risque d'effets secondaires :
- Le risque d'hypertension artérielle et d'arythmie cardiaque est plus élevé s'il est pris avec des médicaments pour le cœur (tels que les glycosides cardiaques, la quinidine ou les antidépresseurs tricycliques).
- Il existe un risque plus élevé de constriction importante des vaisseaux sanguins s'il est utilisé avec des alcaloïdes de l'ergot de seigle ou de l'ocytocine.
- La prise de ce médicament avec des inhibiteurs de la MAO (IMAO) peut provoquer une augmentation dangereuse de la tension artérielle (crise hypertensive).
- Son utilisation avec certains anesthésiques (comme le cyclopropane, l'halothane et d'autres anesthésiques halogénés) ou des médicaments contre la tension artérielle (antihypertenseurs) peut provoquer des interactions.
Mode of actions
La desloratadine est un médicament contre les allergies à action prolongée qui ne provoque pas de somnolence. Il agit en bloquant les récepteurs de l'histamine H1 en dehors du cerveau et empêche certaines cellules immunitaires de libérer des substances qui provoquent une inflammation.
La pseudoéphédrine agit en activant les récepteurs alpha et bêta-adrénergiques. Cela provoque un rétrécissement des vaisseaux sanguins du nez, ce qui réduit la congestion. Il détend également les voies respiratoires et peut augmenter la fréquence cardiaque et la force des battements cardiaques.
Dosage & Administration
PO : Adultes et adolescents de 12 ans ou plus : 1 comprimé (2,5 mg de desloratadine/120 mg de pseudoéphédrine) 12 heures.
1 comprimé (5 mg de desloratadine/240 mg de pseudoéphédrine) 24 heures sur 24.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Bien que des études sur la reproduction animale aient montré un effet indésirable sur le fœtus et qu'il n'existe pas d'études adéquates et bien contrôlées chez la femme enceinte, ce médicament peut être utilisé pendant la grossesse juste lorsque cela est absolument nécessaire, malgré les risques potentiels.
Les mères d'un nouveau-né qui ont utilisé ce médicament au cours des 3 derniers mois de leur grossesse peuvent rarement créer des symptômes tels que somnolence, raideur ou tremblements musculaires, troubles de l'alimentation ou de la respiration, pleurs constants. Si vous remarquez l'un de ces symptômes chez votre bébé, en particulier au cours de son premier mois, informez-en immédiatement le médecin.
Ce médicament passe dans le lait maternel. Parlez-en à votre médecin avant d'allaiter.
