Thiazide diuretics cause hyperglycemia and hypokalaemia. Increased risk of peptic ulcers or GI bleeding when taking NSAIDs at the same time. The anticoagulant response has changed. An increase in the dose of antidiabetics and antihypertensives is required. Reduces the levels of salicylates and antimuscarinic agents in the blood.
Possibly lethal: Concurrent usage of carbamazepine, phenytoin, primidone, barbiturates, and rifampicin reduces efficacy. Women who use estrogen or oral contraceptives have a stronger effect.
Hypersensitivity, systemic fungal or acute infections.
Betamethasone is a corticosteroid that primarily acts as a glucocorticoid. It reduces the rate of protein synthesis, inhibits the migration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes and fibroblasts, and reverses capillary permeability and lysosomal stabilization to prevent and regulate inflammation.
Adults and children
Eye: 1 or 2 drops to each affected eye every 1 or 2 hours until control is achieved, then the frequency may be reduced.
Ear: 2 or 3 drops to each affected ear every 2 or 3 hours until control is achieved, then the frequency may be reduced.
Nose: 2 or 3 drops instilled into each nostril 2 or 3 times daily.
This medicine is not allowed during pregnancy. Do not use it if you are pregnant. It can be absorbed through the skin and lungs caused can damage your unborn child’s organs and cause congenital disabilities. Strict effective birth control during treatment and for six months after stopping this medicine. If you do become pregnant, stop taking this medicine and discuss your doctor right away.
There is no specific information on whether this medicine passes into breast milk or not. Considering the possible risks for the children, breastfeeding while using this medicine is not recommended and at least two weeks after the last dose. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
