Precautions and warnings
Avant d'utiliser ce médicament, informez votre médecin de vos antécédents médicaux, en particulier si vous souffrez d'une maladie rénale, si vous êtes enceinte ou si vous êtes une mère qui allaite son bébé.
Informez votre médecin ou votre dentiste de tous les produits que vous consommez avant la chirurgie, y compris les médicaments sur ordonnance, les médicaments en vente libre et les produits à base de plantes.
Le sucre peut être présent dans les produits liquides. L'aspartame peut être présent dans les comprimés à dissolution rapide. Si vous souffrez de diabète, de phénylcétonurie ou de toute autre condition qui vous oblige à limiter ou à éviter ces composés dans votre alimentation, vous devez procéder avec prudence. Consultez votre médecin ou votre pharmacien pour obtenir des conseils sur la façon d'utiliser ce médicament en toute sécurité.

Drug Interactions
Certains tests de laboratoire, tels que les tests d'allergie cutanée, peuvent être affectés par ce médicament, conduisant potentiellement à des résultats de tests erronés. Assurez-vous que le personnel de votre laboratoire et tous vos médecins savent que vous prenez ce médicament.
Si vous utilisez la fexofénadine avec le kétoconazole ou l'érythromycine, vos taux plasmatiques de fexofénadine peuvent augmenter. D'autres anticholinergiques et dépresseurs du SNC peuvent intensifier leurs effets négatifs. Les antipsychotiques (phénothiazines) peuvent avoir un effet arythmogène ; évitez de les prendre ensemble. L'efficacité de la bétahistine peut être réduite. L'action anticholinergique de la fexofénadine peut être renforcée par le pramlintide. La biodisponibilité du vérapamil peut être améliorée. La rifampicine peut potentiellement diminuer son efficacité.
Contraindications
Hypersensibilité à l'ingrédient actif.
Mode of actions
Sur les cellules effectrices du tractus gastro-intestinal, des vaisseaux sanguins et des voies respiratoires, la fexofénadine, un métabolite actif de la terfénadine, est un antagoniste compétitif des récepteurs H1 de l'histamine périphérique.
Dosage & Administration
Adultes :
Rhinite allergique : 120 mg une fois par jour ou 60 mg deux fois par jour
Urticaire : 180 mg une fois par jour
Enfants :
2-11 ans : 30 mg (1 cuillerée) ou 5 ml deux fois par jour
6 mois-2 ans : 15 mg (1/2 cuillerée) ou 2,5 ml deux fois par jour
Pregnancy & Lactation
Bien que des études sur la reproduction animale aient montré un effet indésirable sur le fœtus et qu'il n'existe pas d'études adéquates et bien contrôlées chez la femme enceinte, ce médicament peut être utilisé pendant la grossesse juste lorsque cela est absolument nécessaire, malgré les risques potentiels.
Les mères d'un nouveau-né qui ont utilisé ce médicament au cours des 3 derniers mois de leur grossesse peuvent rarement créer des symptômes tels que somnolence, raideur ou tremblements musculaires, troubles de l'alimentation ou de la respiration, pleurs constants. Si vous remarquez l'un de ces symptômes chez votre bébé, en particulier au cours de son premier mois, informez-en immédiatement le médecin.
Ce médicament passe dans le lait maternel. Parlez-en à votre médecin avant d'allaiter.
