Fusidic Acid 2% + Hydrocortisone Acetate 1% Topical Similar medicine
Long-term, continuous use of this treatment should be avoided, especially on the face, in skin folds, and in areas where skin touches skin. It is also important not to use it this way in infants and children.
**Fusidic Acid:** Works better when combined with antistaphylococcal penicillins, but does not work well when taken with ciprofloxacin.
**Hydrocortisone:** The body gets rid of hydrocortisone faster if you take medicines like phenobarbital, phenytoin, or rifampin. Medicines such as troleandomycin and ketoconazole can slow down its breakdown. Taking high doses of aspirin for a long time might be cleared from the body faster. Hydrocortisone can also make blood thinners (anticoagulants) either more or less effective.
Topical hydrocortisone should not be used if you have viral, tuberculosis, or fungal skin infections. It is also not suitable for people who are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Hydrocortisone is a type of corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation, itching, and swelling. Fusidic acid is an antibiotic that works by stopping bacteria from making proteins, which kills them. It is mostly effective against gram-positive bacteria, especially Staphylococcus aureus.
