Precautions and warnings

Side-effects
- رد فعل الجلد التحسسي. العيون: حرقان، لاذع، التهاب الملتحمة، تقرحات القرنية، تهيج، احتقان الملتحمة. امتصاص جهازي من الملتحمة الملتهبة. قد تكون قاتلة: متلازمة ستيفنز جونسون.
Drug Interactions
يمكن حجب تأثير السلفاسيتاميد بواسطة مواد مثل PABA والمخدرات الموضعية في مجموعة البروكايين. في الحالات التي يوجد فيها صديد في العين، يمكن أن يتنافس PABA الموجود في الإفرازات مع السلفاسيتاميد ويقلل من فعاليته.
Mode of actions
يعمل السلفاسيتاميد عن طريق وقف نمو العديد من أنواع البكتيريا، سواء إيجابية الجرام أو سلبية الجرام. وهو يفعل ذلك عن طريق منع البكتيريا من صنع الأحماض النووية، والتي تعتبر ضرورية لبقائها على قيد الحياة. على وجه التحديد، فهو يمنع تغير مادة تسمى PABA إلى حمض ثنائي هيدروفوليك، وهو أمر ضروري لنمو البكتيريا.

Pregnancy & Lactation
