Fluconazole 0.2% IV Similar medicine
Be careful if you have kidney problems. If you have liver disease, your liver function should be checked regularly, and you should stop taking the medication if any signs or symptoms of liver problems develop.
                                                Fluconazole can raise the levels of certain medicines in your blood, such as oral diabetes drugs (like tolbutamide, glyburide, glipizide), phenytoin, theophylline, tofacitinib, and rifabutin. It may also increase the blood-thinning effect of anticoagulants, leading to a higher prothrombin time. In people who have had a kidney transplant, fluconazole can cause a significant rise in ciclosporin levels, whether or not they have kidney problems. Rifampicin can lower the amount of fluconazole in your body. Fluconazole may also increase the risk of kidney damage when taken with tacrolimus. It can make short-acting benzodiazepines like midazolam stronger.
Serious Warning: Taking fluconazole with certain drugs (such as terfenadine, cisapride, astemizole, pimozide, quinidine, halofantrine, or erythromycin) may lead to dangerous heart rhythm problems or QT prolongation.

Fluconazole works by blocking cytochrome P450, an enzyme needed by fungi to make ergosterol, which is essential for their cell membranes. By doing this, fluconazole stops the formation of healthy cell membranes in certain fungi, such as **B. dermatitidis, Candida species, C. immitis, C. neoformans, Epidermophyton species, H. capsulatum, Microsporum species, and Trichophyton species.**
                                                Invasive candidal infections including candidaemia and disseminated candidiasis and cryptococcal infections including meningitis, by IV, 400 mg initially then 200 mg daily, increased if necessary to 400 mg daily, treatment continued according to response (at least 6-8 weeks for cryptococcal meningitis); Child 6-12 mg/kg daily (every 72 hours in neonate up to 2 weeks old, every 48 hours in neonate 2-4 weeks old); maximum 400 mg daily.
Prevention of relapse of cryptococcal meningitis, by IV, 100-200 mg daily.
Prevention of fungal infections in immunocompromised patients following cytotoxic chemotherapy or radiotherapy, by mouth 50-400 mg daily adjusted according to risk; 
Child according to extent and duration of neutropenia, 3-12 mg/kg daily (every 72 hours in neonate up to 2 weeks old, every 48 hours in neonate 2-4 weeks old); maximum 400 mg daily.                                            
                                                This medicine is not allowed during pregnancy. Do not use it if you are pregnant. It can be absorbed through the skin and lungs caused can damage your unborn child’s organs and cause congenital disabilities. Strict effective birth control during treatment and for six months after stopping this medicine. If you do become pregnant, stop taking this medicine and discuss your doctor right away.
There is no specific information on whether this medicine passes into breast milk or not. Considering the possible risks for the children, breastfeeding while using this medicine is not recommended and at least two weeks after the last dose. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
