Precautions and warnings
Certaines conditions médicales peuvent affecter le fonctionnement de la guaifénénésine ou du guaiacolsulfonate de potassium. Dites à votre médecin si vous êtes enceinte, l'allaitement maternel ou si vous avez une toux durable du tabagisme, de l'asthme, de la bronchite chronique ou de l'emphysème. Faites-leur également savoir si votre toux produit beaucoup de mucus.
Side-effects
- Irritation légère de la membrane du mucus bronchique.
Dosage & Administration
PO: Adulte: 1-2 TSF 2-4 fois par jour est la dose habituelle.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Bien que des études de reproduction animale aient montré un effet négatif sur le fœtus et qu'il n'y a pas d'études adéquates et bien contrôlées chez les femmes enceintes, mais pendant la grossesse, ce médicament peut être utilisé juste lorsqu'il est définitivement nécessaire malgré les risques potentiels.
Les mères atteintes d'un nouveau-né qui ont utilisé ce médicament au cours des 3 derniers mois de grossesse peuvent rarement créer des symptômes, notamment la somnolence, la raideur musculaire ou la tremblement, l'alimentation ou les problèmes respiratoires, les pleurs constants. Si vous remarquez l'un de ces symptômes de votre bébé, en particulier pendant leur premier mois, dites immédiatement au médecin.
Ce médicament passe dans le lait maternel. Parlez à votre médecin avant d'allaiter.
