Betaval-N is indicated for

  • Lichen planus
  • Psoriasis
  • Eczema
  • Contact dermatitis
  • Seborrhoeic dermatitis

Precautions and warnings

Even without occlusion, prolonged therapy may result in systemic corticosteroid effects. Excessive application to the face should be avoided. If the infection spreads, stop taking the medication. If the preparation gets into the eye, it can cause glaucoma (s). Due to treatment tolerance, rebound relapses, widespread pustular psoriasis, or systemic toxicity, regular monitoring is necessary when used in psoriasis. When used for a long time or repeatedly, there is a higher risk of contact sensitization especially for Lactation and pregnancy.

Preparation for the eyes: If there is no clinical improvement after 7 days, monitor intraocular pressure, cataract formation from unknown infections, and evaluate treatment. Undiagnosed red eyes should not be treated with this product.

Side-effects

Drug Interactions

Neomycin sulfate may exacerbate the respiratory depressive effects of neuromuscular blockers if there is sufficient systemic absorption.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity for Rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, perianal and vaginal pruritus, and primary cutaneous viral infections are some of the most common cutaneous infections. Not to be used if the otitis externa is exacerbated by a perforated eardrum. For children, treatment of primary infected skin lesions produced by fungi or bacteria, primary or secondary yeast infections, or secondary infections caused by Pseudomonas or Proteus species.

Mode of actions

Inflammatory dermatoses respond well to betamethasone valerate, a corticosteroid. It is also beneficial in illnesses that are less sensitive, such as psoriasis. Neomycin sulfate is an antibiotic with a broad spectrum of action. It's bactericidal, which means it kills a lot of bacteria that cause skin illnesses.

Dosage & Administration

Adult: Topical Apply 2-3 times/day. Usual duration: Up to 7 days/course.

Pregnancy & Lactation

This medicine is not allowed during pregnancy. Do not use it if you are pregnant. It can be absorbed through the skin and lungs caused can damage your unborn child’s organs and cause congenital disabilities. Strict effective birth control during treatment and for six months after stopping this medicine. If you do become pregnant, stop taking this medicine and discuss your doctor right away.

There is no specific information on whether this medicine passes into breast milk or not. Considering the possible risks for the children, breastfeeding while using this medicine is not recommended and at least two weeks after the last dose. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
