Precautions and warnings
इस दवा का उपयोग उस त्वचा पर न करें जिसमें सक्रिय वायरल संक्रमण हो। इसे अपनी आंखों और अन्य संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों जैसे नाक या मुंह के अंदर से दूर रखें। कमजोर प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली वाले लोगों में लिंफोमा या अन्य कैंसर विकसित होने का खतरा अधिक हो सकता है। इस दवा का उपयोग करते समय धूप से दूर रहने या यूवी प्रकाश से बचने का प्रयास करें। उपचार शुरू करने के पहले पांच दिनों के भीतर आपको आवेदन स्थल पर हल्की से मध्यम गर्मी या जलन महसूस हो सकती है। एक वर्ष से अधिक समय तक इस दवा का उपयोग करने की सुरक्षा ज्ञात नहीं है। अगर आपको किडनी या लीवर की समस्या है तो सावधान हो जाएं। आपके डॉक्टर को नियमित रूप से आपके गुर्दे, यकृत, हृदय और आंखों के स्वास्थ्य के साथ-साथ आपके रक्तचाप, रक्त शर्करा और इलेक्ट्रोलाइट्स की जांच करनी चाहिए। यदि आप गर्भवती हैं या स्तनपान करा रही हैं तो सावधानी बरतें।

Drug Interactions
साइटोक्रोम P450 3A4 एंजाइम को अवरुद्ध करने वाली दवाओं का उपयोग व्यापक या एरिथ्रोडर्मिक रोग वाले रोगियों में सावधानी के साथ किया जाना चाहिए।
चेतावनी: यदि इन रोगियों को ऐसी दवाओं का उपयोग करते समय जीवित टीके दिए जाते हैं तो जीवन-घातक संक्रमण का खतरा अधिक होता है।
Mode of actions
पिमेक्रोलिमस एक प्रकार की दवा है जो एस्कोमाइसिन से बनाई जाती है। यह प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली को कमजोर करके काम करता है, विशेष रूप से टी-कोशिकाओं को सक्रिय होने से रोकता है और मस्तूल कोशिकाओं से उन पदार्थों की रिहाई को रोकता है जो सूजन का कारण बनते हैं। डॉक्टर हल्के से मध्यम एटोपिक एक्जिमा का इलाज करने के लिए पिमेक्रोलिमस का उपयोग करते हैं, या तो थोड़े समय के लिए या लंबे समय तक रुक-रुक कर।
Dosage & Administration
वयस्क: सामयिक 1% क्रीम के रूप में: दिन में दो बार लगाएं। यदि 6 सप्ताह के बाद भी कोई सुधार नहीं होता है या स्थिति बिगड़ती है तो इलाज बंद कर दें।
Pregnancy & Lactation
यद्यपि पशु प्रजनन अध्ययनों ने भ्रूण पर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव दिखाया है और गर्भवती महिलाओं में कोई पर्याप्त और अच्छी तरह से नियंत्रित अध्ययन नहीं हैं, लेकिन गर्भावस्था के दौरान, संभावित जोखिमों के बावजूद, इस दवा का उपयोग केवल तभी किया जा सकता है जब इसकी आवश्यकता हो।
जिन माताओं के नवजात शिशु हैं, जिन्होंने गर्भावस्था के अंतिम 3 महीनों के दौरान इस दवा का उपयोग किया है, उनमें शायद ही कभी उनींदापन, मांसपेशियों में अकड़न या कंपकंपी, दूध पिलाने या सांस लेने में परेशानी, लगातार रोना जैसे लक्षण पैदा हो सकते हैं। यदि आपको विशेष रूप से उनके पहले महीने के दौरान अपने बच्चे में इनमें से कोई भी लक्षण दिखाई देता है, तो तुरंत डॉक्टर को बताएं।
यह दवा स्तन के दूध में पारित हो जाती है। स्तनपान कराने से पहले अपने डॉक्टर से बात करें।
