Shake the bottle well before using it. Using corticosteroids for a long time can harm the optic nerve and affect your vision. If you need to use this product for an extended period, your eye pressure should be checked regularly.
Works together with penicillins for a stronger effect. When used with drugs that are toxic to the nerves, ears, or kidneys, side effects may add up. It can reduce the absorption of digoxin and methotrexate. It may also increase the effects of blood-thinning medications taken by mouth.
Prednisolone Acetate should not be used if you have viral infections of the cornea or conjunctiva, or if you are allergic to this medicine or any other corticosteroids.
Neomycin works by attaching to the 30S part of bacterial ribosomes, which stops bacteria from making proteins.
Prednisolone reduces inflammation by stopping certain white blood cells (polymorphonuclear leukocytes) from moving to the inflamed area and by making blood vessels less leaky. It also weakens the immune system by lowering the number and activity of specific immune cells (lymphocytes and eosinophils).
Polymyxin B kills bacteria by damaging their cell membranes, causing their contents to leak out.
Instill one drop into the conjunctival sac two to four times daily. During the initial 24 to 48 hours, the dosing frequency may be increased if necessary. Care should be taken not to discontinue the therapy before completing the course.
Paediatric Use: Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established.
Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required despite potential risks.
Mothers with a newborn baby who have used this drug during the last 3 months of pregnancy may seldom create symptoms including drowsiness, muscle stiffness or shakiness, feeding or breathing troubles, constant crying. If you notice any of these symptoms of your baby's particularly during their first month, tell the doctor immediately.
This medicine passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
