Precautions and warnings
膽汁淤積性黃疸和脂肪吸收不良情況：仔細監測患者是否有中毒跡象，特別是有肝臟問題的患者和兒童。
Side-effects
- 維生素A過多症的特徵是疲勞、煩躁、厭食、體重減輕、嘔吐和其他胃腸道紊亂、低燒、肝脾腫大、皮膚變化、脫髮、頭髮乾燥、嘴唇乾裂和出血、SC腫脹、夜尿、骨骼和關節疼痛。
Drug Interactions
新黴素可以降低這種藥物的吸收。 服用合成維A酸（如阿維A、異維A酸或維A酸）會增加體內維生素A過多的風險。 與酒精一起使用這種藥物也會增加副作用或毒性的風險。
Contraindications
維生素A過多症；懷孕（劑量超過 RDA）。
Mode of actions
維生素 A 對於眼睛視網膜的正常功能非常重要，也是皮膚和其他身體組織生長和發育所必需的。
Dosage & Administration
成人：PO 維生素 A 缺乏 對於伴隨角膜變化的嚴重缺乏：500,000 單位/天，持續 3 天，然後 50,000 單位/天，持續 2 週，然後 10,000-20,000 單位/天，持續 2 個月作為後續治療。
對於沒有角膜變化的病例：10,000-25,000 u/天，直到出現臨床改善（通常 1-2 週）。
Pregnancy & Lactation
充分且控制良好的人體研究未能證明妊娠前三個月對胎兒有風險，也沒有足夠的證據表明妊娠後期有風險。
