Precautions and warnings
القصور الكبدي أو الكلوي، وكبار السن، والمهن التي تحتاج إلى عناية عقلية، مثل القيادة أو تشغيل الآلات الثقيلة، والنساء الحوامل، كلها عوامل يجب أخذها في الاعتبار.
أخبر طبيبك أو الصيدلي عن أي حالات طبية سابقة عانيت منها، خاصة إذا كنت تعاني من مشكلة في التبول بسبب تضخم البروستاتا أو أمراض الكلى أو أمراض الكبد.
إذا كنت تستخدم هذا الدواء لعلاج خلايا النحل، فاتصل بطبيبك على الفور إذا رأيت أيًا من الأعراض الأخرى التالية، والتي قد تشير إلى مشكلة أكثر خطورة: خلايا النحل ذات اللون غير المعتاد، خلايا النحل التي تبدو كدمات، أو بثور، وخلايا النحل التي لا تسبب الحكة.
هذا الدواء لديه القدرة على جعلك تشعر بالنعاس. قد تشعر بالنعاس إذا كنت تستهلك الكحول أو الحشيش. لا تقم بالقيادة أو تشغيل الآلات أو المشاركة في أي نشاط آخر يتطلب الانتباه حتى تتأكد من قدرتك على القيام بذلك بأمان. وينبغي تجنب المشروبات الكحولية. إذا كنت تستخدم القنب، تحدث مع طبيبك.
قد يتواجد السكر في المواد السائلة. إذا كنت تعاني من مرض السكري، عليك توخي الحذر. استشر طبيبك أو الصيدلي للحصول على المشورة بشأن كيفية استخدام هذا الدواء بأمان.

Side-effects
- نعاس، أرق، توعك، صداع، دوخة. انزعاج في الجهاز الهضمي، جفاف الفم، آلام في البطن، إسهال، غثيان، قيء؛ فرط الحساسية في بعض الأحيان. رعاف، التهاب البلعوم، تشنج قصبي.
Drug Interactions
صِف طبيبك أو الصيدلي إذا كنت تتناول أي أدوية أخرى تسبب النعاس، مثل الكودايين أو الهيدروكودون أو الكحول أو الحشيش أو أدوية النوم أو أدوية القلق مثل ألبرازولام أو لورازيبام أو زولبيديم أو مرخيات العضلات مثل كاريسوبرودول أو سيكلوبنزابرين أو مضادات الهيستامين الأخرى مثل كلورفينيرامين أو ديفينهيدرامين.
يجب تجنب مضادات الهيستامين الأخرى المطبقة على الجلد، مثل كريم ديفينهيدرامين أو مرهم أو رذاذ، لأنها قد تنتج المزيد من الآثار الجانبية.
السيتريزين يشبه إلى حد كبير ليفوسيتريزين وهيدروكسيزين. عند تناول السيتريزين، تجنب تناول هذه الأدوية.
قد تتأثر بعض الاختبارات المعملية، مثل اختبار حساسية الجلد، بهذا الدواء، مما قد يؤدي إلى نتائج اختبار خاطئة. تأكد من أن موظفي المختبر وجميع أطبائك على علم بأنك تتناول هذا الدواء.
Contraindications
فرط الحساسية للمادة الفعالة، وهي الأم التي ترضع حليب الثدي لطفلها.
Mode of actions
السيتريزين هو مضاد قوي وانتقائي للغاية لمستقبلات الهيستامين H1 المحيطية على الخلايا المستجيبة في الجهاز الهضمي والأوعية الدموية والجهاز التنفسي.
Dosage & Administration

حالات الحساسية
للبالغين: 10 مجم مرة واحدة يومياً أو 5 مجم مرتين يومياً.
الأطفال: 6-23 شهرًا 2.5 مجم مرة واحدة يوميًا، وتزيد إلى 2.5 مجم كحد أقصى في الأطفال أكبر من 12 شهرًا؛ 2-5 سنوات 5 ميلي غرام مرة واحدة يومياً أو مقسمة على جرعتين؛ >6 سنوات: 10 ملغ مرة واحدة يوميًا أو مقسمة على جرعتين.
كبار السن: في البداية، 5 ملغ مرة واحدة يومياً.
القصور الكبدي: في البداية 5 ملغ مرة واحدة يومياً.
شراب:
البالغين والأطفال فوق 6 سنوات: ملعقتان صغيرتان مرة واحدة يوميًا أو ملعقة صغيرة مرتين يوميًا.
الأطفال من 2 إلى 6 سنوات: ملعقة صغيرة مرة واحدة يومياً أو نصف ملعقة صغيرة مرتين يومياً.
Pregnancy & Lactation
على الرغم من أن دراسات التكاثر الحيواني أظهرت تأثيرًا سلبيًا حتى في بعض الأحيان غير قادرة على إثبات المخاطر على الجنين ولا توجد دراسات كافية ومراقبة بشكل جيد عند النساء الحوامل، ولكن أثناء الحمل، يمكن استخدام هذا الدواء فقط عند الحاجة إليه بالتأكيد.
