Drug Interactions

Drugs like colestyramine, colestipol, and orlistat can make it harder for your body to absorb vitamin E. Taking high doses of vitamin E can increase the effect of the blood thinner warfarin. Also, taking a lot of vitamin E might reduce how well your body responds to iron supplements.

Mode of actions

Vitamin A is important for healthy eyesight and helps the growth and development of skin and other tissues. Vitamin D is given to prevent and treat rickets (a bone disorder) and to help manage low parathyroid hormone levels. Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, protecting important parts of cells. It helps keep red blood cells from breaking down, protects fats in cell membranes from damage by free radicals, and also helps prevent vitamins A and C from getting oxidized.

Dosage & Administration

Adult and child over 6 years: 1-2 capsule 3 times daily with meals.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Adequate and well-controlled human studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in the first trimester of pregnancy and there is not enough evidence of risk in later trimesters.
