Precautions and warnings
Jangan gunakan jika Anda memiliki tiroid yang terlalu aktif (hipertiroidisme), masalah jantung seperti penyakit jantung, detak jantung tidak teratur, atau detak jantung yang cepat. Hindari jika Anda memiliki penyakit pembuluh darah seperti pengerasan arteri (arteriosklerosis), tekanan darah tinggi, atau aneurisma. Ini juga harus dihindari pada penderita diabetes, glaukoma sudut tertutup, masalah ginjal, atau pembesaran prostat. Jangan gunakan selama kehamilan atau menyusui.
Side-effects

- mudah tersinggung dan keadaan psikotik; nafsu makan berkurang

- muntah; ganggren; pendarahan otak dan edema paru; refleks bradikardia
- takikardia dan aritmia jantung
- jantung berdebar dan henti jantung
- hipotensi dan pusing
- pingsan dan muka memerah. Nekrosis dan pengelupasan jaringan; nekrosis miokard dan arteri.
Drug Interactions
Ada risiko lebih tinggi terkena tekanan darah tinggi dan irama jantung tidak normal bila obat ini digunakan bersama dengan glikosida jantung, quinidine, atau antidepresan trisiklik (TCA). Risiko penyempitan pembuluh darah meningkat jika diberikan bersama alkaloid ergot atau oksitosin. Mengonsumsinya dengan inhibitor MAO (MAOI) dapat menyebabkan peningkatan tekanan darah yang berbahaya (krisis hipertensi). Ini juga dapat berinteraksi dengan anestesi seperti siklopropana, halotan, dan anestesi berhalogen lainnya, serta dengan obat-obatan yang menurunkan tekanan darah.
Contraindications
Hipertensi berat, feokromositoma.
Mode of actions
Fexofenadine adalah obat yang berasal dari obat lain yang disebut terfenadine. Ia bekerja dengan memblokir reseptor histamin H1 di luar otak, sehingga membantu mengurangi gejala alergi pada sistem pencernaan, pembuluh darah, dan saluran udara.
Pseudoefedrin bekerja dengan mengaktifkan reseptor adrenergik alfa (?) dan beta (?). Ketika merangsang reseptor ?-adrenergik di lapisan hidung dan saluran udara, hal ini menyebabkan pembuluh darah mengencang, sehingga mengurangi pembengkakan dan penyumbatan. Ketika mengaktifkan reseptor ?-adrenergik, ini melemaskan otot-otot di saluran udara, membantu Anda bernapas lebih mudah, dan juga meningkatkan detak jantung dan seberapa kuat detak jantung Anda.
Dosage & Administration
Dewasa dan anak-anak usia 12 tahun ke atas: 1 tablet dua kali sehari diberikan saat perut kosong dengan air.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Meskipun penelitian pada reproduksi hewan menunjukkan efek buruk pada janin dan belum ada penelitian yang memadai dan terkontrol dengan baik pada wanita hamil, namun selama kehamilan, obat ini dapat digunakan tepat ketika benar-benar diperlukan meskipun ada potensi risikonya.
Ibu dengan bayi baru lahir yang telah menggunakan obat ini selama 3 bulan terakhir kehamilan mungkin jarang mengalami gejala termasuk mengantuk, otot kaku atau gemetar, kesulitan makan atau bernapas, dan menangis terus-menerus. Jika Anda melihat gejala-gejala ini pada bayi Anda terutama pada bulan pertama, segera beri tahu dokter.
Obat ini masuk ke dalam ASI. Bicaralah dengan dokter Anda sebelum menyusui.
