Precautions and warnings

Bei Anwendung in der vorgeschriebenen Dosierung führt Loratadin normalerweise nicht zu Schläfrigkeit. Führen Sie jedoch kein Fahrzeug, bedienen Sie keine Maschinen und üben Sie keine andere Aktivität aus, die Aufmerksamkeit erfordert, bis Sie sicher sind, dass Sie dies sicher tun können.
Wenn Sie Nesselsucht haben und Ihr Arzt Ihnen Loratadin verschrieben hat, oder wenn Sie erwägen, dieses Medikament zur Behandlung Ihrer eigenen Nesselsucht zu verwenden, informieren Sie sofort Ihren Arzt, wenn bei Ihnen eines der folgenden anderen Symptome auftritt, da diese auf eine ernstere Erkrankung hinweisen könnten: Nesselsucht mit ungewöhnlicher Farbe, Nesselsucht, die wie blaue Flecken oder Blasen aussieht, und Nesselsucht, die nicht juckt.
Zucker und Aspartam können in flüssigen Getränken oder Kautabletten enthalten sein. Wenn Sie an Diabetes oder einer anderen Erkrankung leiden, die es erforderlich macht, diese Verbindungen in Ihrer Ernährung einzuschränken oder zu vermeiden, sollten Sie mit Vorsicht vorgehen. Fragen Sie Ihren Arzt oder Apotheker um Rat zur sicheren Anwendung dieses Arzneimittels.
Das Medikament hat Nebenwirkungen, insbesondere Schläfrigkeit und Orientierungslosigkeit, die bei älteren Menschen stärker ausgeprägt sein können. Diese Nebenwirkungen können die Sturzgefahr erhöhen.

Drug Interactions
Desloratadin und Loratadin sind ziemlich ähnlich. Vermeiden Sie bei der Einnahme von Loratadin die Einnahme von Arzneimitteln, die Desloratadin enthalten.
Contraindications
Während der Schwangerschaft sollte eine Mutter, die ihr Baby und ihre Kinder mit Muttermilch füttert, besondere Pflege benötigen.
Mode of actions
Loratadin ist ein Antihistaminikum, das keine Schläfrigkeit verursacht. Es wirkt durch Bindung an Histamin-H1-Rezeptoren auf Effektorzellen in der Peripherie.
Dosage & Administration
Erwachsene und Kinder über 6 Jahre: Eine 10-mg-Tablette oder zwei Teelöffel (10 ml) Suspension einmal täglich. oder 5 mg 12 Stunden.
Kinder im Alter von 2–5 Jahren: 5 ml oder 1 Teelöffel (5 mg) Suspension einmal täglich.
Loratadin wird für Kinder unter 2 Jahren nicht empfohlen.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Obwohl tierexperimentelle Reproduktionsstudien eine nachteilige Wirkung gezeigt haben und manchmal sogar kein Risiko für den Fötus nachgewiesen werden konnte, und es keine ausreichenden und gut kontrollierten Studien bei schwangeren Frauen gibt, kann dieses Arzneimittel während der Schwangerschaft nur dann angewendet werden, wenn dies unbedingt erforderlich ist.
