Precautions and warnings
Sollte bei Patienten mit Hyperoxalurie mit Vorsicht angewendet werden. Die Einnahme von zu viel Vitamin C während der Schwangerschaft kann zu Problemen für das Neugeborene führen.
Side-effects
- Ascorbinsäure scheint bei Dosierungen unter 4 mg/Tag keine wesentlichen Nebenwirkungen zu haben. Höhere Dosen können bei Patienten mit eingeschränkter Nierenfunktion Durchfall oder die Bildung von Kalziumoxalat-Nierensteinen verursachen. Die Einnahme von mehr als 600 mg täglich wirkt harntreibend.
Drug Interactions
Deferoxamin, hormonelle Kontrazeptiva, Fluphenazin, Warfarin, elementares Eisen, Salicylate, Warfarin, Fluphenazin, Disulfiram, Mexiletin und Vitamin B12 können alle mit Vitamin C interagieren. Während der Einnahme dieses Arzneimittels sollten Sie besondere Vorsicht walten lassen.
Vitamin-C-Mangel kommt häufig bei Menschen vor, die regelmäßig Alkohol konsumieren, insbesondere bei denen, die auch an anderen Beschwerden leiden. Um den Vitamin-C-Spiegel wieder auf den Normalwert zu bringen, müssen diese Personen möglicherweise länger als gewöhnlich behandelt werden.
Vitamin C reichert sich in hohen Konzentrationen in Krebszellen an. Verwenden Sie hohe Dosen Vitamin C nur unter Aufsicht Ihres Onkologen, bis weitere Informationen vorliegen.

Contraindications

Vitamin C wird traditionell zur Vorbeugung und Behandlung von Skorbut eingesetzt. Die häufigste Anwendung von Vitamin C ist heute die Vorbeugung und Behandlung von Erkältungen. Es wird auch behauptet, dass es Autismus, Brustkrebs, Herzerkrankungen und eine Reihe anderer Krankheiten behandelt, obwohl es für viele dieser Behauptungen kaum wissenschaftliche Beweise gibt. Mode of actions
Vitamin C wird für die Kollagensynthese und die Gewebereparatur benötigt und spielt auch eine Rolle bei Oxidations-/Reduktionsreaktionen und anderen Stoffwechselwegen wie der Bildung von Katecholaminen, Carnitin und Steroiden. Es hilft auch bei der Umwandlung von Folsäure in Folinsäure.
Dosage & Administration
Mündlich
Skorbut
Erwachsene: Vorbeugung: 25–75 mg täglich. 4 Tabletten 2 bis 3 mal täglich. Behandlung: >250 mg täglich, verteilt auf mehrere Dosen. Kann auch über den IM/IV/SC-Administrator erfolgen. 250–500 mg i.v. qTag/BID für mindestens 2 Wochen.
Kind: 1 Monat bis 4 Jahre: 125–250 mg täglich; 4–12 Jahre: 250–500 mg täglich; 12–18 Jahre: 500 mg–1 g täglich. Die Dosierung erfolgt in 1–2 Einzeldosen.
Thalassämie
Erwachsene: 100–200 mg täglich, zusammen mit Desferrioxamin.
Kind: 100–200 mg täglich, zusammen mit Desferrioxamin.
Stoffwechselstörungen
Kind: Neugeborene: 50–200 mg täglich, bei Bedarf anpassen; 1 Monat bis 18 Jahre: 200–400 mg täglich in 1–2 aufgeteilten Dosen, möglicherweise ist bis zu 1 g täglich erforderlich.
Erwachsener:
Erkältung: 1 g oder mehr täglich in mehreren Dosen, d. h. 4 Tabletten täglich.
Bei der Wundheilung: 2-4 Tabletten 2- bis 3-mal täglich
Bei anderen Erkrankungen: 1-2 Tabletten täglich
Kinder: < 4 Jahre: 1/4 Erwachsenendosis, 4-12 Jahre: 1/2 der Erwachsenendosis.
1 Brausetablette täglich zu einer Mahlzeit oder nach ärztlicher Anweisung. Eine Tablette in einem halben Glas (100 ml) Wasser auflösen und sofort trinken.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Ausreichende und gut kontrollierte Studien am Menschen konnten kein Risiko für den Fötus im ersten Trimester der Schwangerschaft nachweisen, und es gibt nicht genügend Hinweise auf ein Risiko in späteren Trimestern.
