Precautions and warnings
हाइपरॉक्सलुरिया के रोगियों को सावधानी के साथ दिया जाना चाहिए। गर्भावस्था के दौरान बहुत अधिक विटामिन सी लेने से नवजात शिशु को परेशानी हो सकती है।
Side-effects
- 4 मिलीग्राम/दिन से कम खुराक पर एस्कॉर्बिक एसिड का कोई महत्वपूर्ण प्रतिकूल प्रभाव नहीं दिखता है। बड़ी खुराक से गुर्दे की हानि वाले रोगियों में दस्त या कैल्शियम ऑक्सालेट की गुर्दे की पथरी का निर्माण हो सकता है। प्रतिदिन 600 मिलीग्राम से अधिक के सेवन से मूत्रवर्धक क्रिया होती है।
Drug Interactions
डेफेरोक्सामाइन, हार्मोनल गर्भनिरोधक, फ़्लुफेनाज़िन, वारफ़ारिन, एलिमेंटल आयरन, सैलिसिलेट्स, वारफ़ारिन, फ़्लुफ़ेनाज़िन, डिसल्फिरम, मैक्सिलेटिन और विटामिन बी 12 सभी विटामिन सी के साथ परस्पर क्रिया कर सकते हैं। इस दवा को लेते समय, आपको अतिरिक्त सावधानी बरतनी चाहिए।
विटामिन सी की कमी उन लोगों में आम है जो आदतन शराब का सेवन करते हैं, खासकर उनमें जो अन्य बीमारियों से भी पीड़ित हैं। विटामिन सी के स्तर को सामान्य करने के लिए, इन व्यक्तियों को सामान्य से अधिक समय तक इलाज की आवश्यकता हो सकती है।

Contraindications

Mode of actions
कोलेजन संश्लेषण और ऊतक की मरम्मत के लिए विटामिन सी आवश्यक है, और यह ऑक्सीकरण/कमी प्रतिक्रियाओं और अन्य चयापचय मार्गों जैसे कैटेकोलामाइन, कार्निटाइन और स्टेरॉयड के निर्माण में भी भूमिका निभाता है। यह फोलिक एसिड को फोलिनिक एसिड में बदलने में भी सहायता करता है।
Dosage & Administration
मौखिक
स्कर्वी
वयस्क: रोकथाम: प्रतिदिन 25-75 मिलीग्राम। 4 गोलियाँ दिन में 2 से 3 बार। उपचार: >250 मिलीग्राम प्रतिदिन, विभाजित खुराकों में दिया जाता है। IM/IV/SC एडमिन के माध्यम से भी दिया जा सकता है। कम से कम 2 सप्ताह के लिए 250-500mg IV qDay/BID।
बच्चा: 1 महीने से 4 साल तक: प्रतिदिन 125-250 मिलीग्राम; 4-12 वर्ष: प्रतिदिन 250-500 मिलीग्राम; 12-18 वर्ष: प्रतिदिन 500 मिलीग्राम-1 ग्राम। खुराक 1-2 विभाजित खुराकों में दी जानी है।
थैलेसीमिया
वयस्क: प्रतिदिन 100-200 मिलीग्राम, डेस्फेरिओक्सामाइन के साथ दिया जाना चाहिए।
बच्चा: प्रतिदिन 100-200 मिलीग्राम, डेस्फेरिओक्सामाइन के साथ दिया जाना चाहिए।
चयापचय संबंधी विकार
बच्चा: नवजात: प्रतिदिन 50-200 मिलीग्राम, यदि आवश्यक हो तो समायोजित करें; 1 माह-18 वर्ष: 1-2 विभाजित खुराकों में प्रतिदिन 200-400 मिलीग्राम, प्रतिदिन 1 ग्राम तक की आवश्यकता हो सकती है।
वयस्क:
सामान्य सर्दी: विभाजित खुराक में प्रतिदिन 1 ग्राम या अधिक, यानी प्रतिदिन 4 गोलियाँ।
घाव भरने में: 2-4 गोलियाँ दिन में 2 से 3 बार
अन्य स्थितियों में: प्रतिदिन 1-2 गोलियाँ
बच्चे: <4 वर्ष: 1/4 वयस्क खुराक, 4-12 वर्ष: वयस्क खुराक का 1/2।
प्रतिदिन भोजन के साथ या चिकित्सक के निर्देशानुसार 1 चमकती गोली। एक गोली को आधा गिलास (100 मिली) पानी में घोलें और तुरंत पी लें।
Pregnancy & Lactation
पर्याप्त और अच्छी तरह से नियंत्रित मानव अध्ययन गर्भावस्था की पहली तिमाही में भ्रूण के लिए जोखिम प्रदर्शित करने में विफल रहे हैं और बाद की तिमाही में जोखिम के पर्याप्त सबूत नहीं हैं।
