Viscotin is indicated for
- 肺結核、慢性肺氣腫、撲熱息痛中毒、支氣管擴張、肺炎、肺不張、囊性纖維化、氣管造口護理、麻醉期間
Precautions and warnings
氣喘患者，有支氣管痙攣、消化性潰瘍病史。 懷孕、哺乳期。
Side-effects
- 潮紅、發燒、口腔炎、噁心、嘔吐、流鼻水、支氣管痙攣、過敏樣反應、皮疹。 很少出現視力模糊、心跳過慢、暈厥、血小板減少、抽搐。 可能致命：罕見情況下，呼吸或心臟驟停。
Drug Interactions
乙醯半胱氨酸與其他藥物在霧化器中混合時的藥物穩定性和安全性尚未確定。
Contraindications
對乙醯半胱氨酸敏感的患者禁用。
Mode of actions
透過破壞黏蛋白中的二硫鍵，乙醯半胱氨酸可以降低分泌物的黏度。 它還有助於對乙醯氨基酚中間代謝物的解毒，該中間代謝物用於治療對乙醯氨基酚過量。
Dosage & Administration
口服
作為粘液溶解劑
成人：泡騰顆粒或片劑：200 mg tid。
兒童：泡騰顆粒或片劑：2-7歲：200 mg bid；
Pregnancy & Lactation
雖然動物生殖研究顯示出不良影響，甚至有時無法證明對胎兒的風險，並且在孕婦中沒有充分和良好對照的研究，但在懷孕期間，這種藥物可以在確實需要時使用。
