Drug Interactions

Mode of actions
Meropenem ist ein Carbapenem-Lactam-Antibiotikum, das durch die Bindung an zahlreiche Penicillin-bindende Proteine die bakterielle Zellwandbildung in gm+ve- und gm-ve-Bakterien (PBPs) unterdrückt.
Dosage & Administration
Erwachsener: IV. Anfällige Infektionen 0,5–1 g 8 Stunden. Meningitis 2 g 8 Std. Mukoviszidose Bis zu 2 g 8 Stunden. Hautinfektionen 500 mg 8 Stunden. Diabetischer Fuß; Intraabdominale Infektionen 1 g alle 8 Stunden.
Kinder: 3 Monate bis 12 Jahre. 10 bis 40 mg/kg intravenös alle 8 Stunden, je nach Art und Schwere der Infektion, Anfälligkeit des/der Erreger(s) und Zustand des Patienten.
Intraabdominale Infektionen: 20 mg/kg alle 8 Stunden.
Mukoviszidose (4–18 Jahre): 25–40 mg/kg alle 8 Stunden.
Meningitis: 40 mg/kg i.v. alle 8 Stunden.
Kinder über 50 kg Gewicht: Dosierung für Erwachsene verwenden.
Nierenfunktionsstörung:
CrCl (ml/min)
26-50 Übliche Dosis 12 Stunden.
10-25 Die Hälfte der üblichen Dosis alle 12 Stunden.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Obwohl tierexperimentelle Reproduktionsstudien eine nachteilige Wirkung gezeigt haben, konnte das Risiko für den Fötus manchmal nicht nachgewiesen werden, und es gibt keine ausreichenden und gut kontrollierten Studien bei schwangeren Frauen. Während der Schwangerschaft kann dieses Arzneimittel jedoch nur dann angewendet werden, wenn dies unbedingt erforderlich ist.
