Hyaluronic Acid Sodium Salt P.F.S Similar medicine
Do not use disinfectants with quaternary ammonium salts on the skin before the procedure, because they can cause hyaluronic acid to clump or form a solid.
Before injecting hyaluronate, give a local anesthetic like lidocaine under the skin. If there is fluid in the joint (joint effusion), remove it before giving the injection. Use different syringes for removing joint fluid and for injecting hyaluronate—do not use the same one. Each vial or syringe should only be used once.
It is not yet known if using sodium hyaluronate together with other joint injections is safe or effective. Also, sodium hyaluronate can react and form clumps when it comes into contact with disinfectants like benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine, so special care should be taken to avoid mixing them.
Do not give this product to patients who are allergic to it.
Sodium hyaluronate is a type of sugar molecule that acts as a lubricant for body tissues. It is commonly used in eye surgeries because, when mixed with water, it becomes thick and stretchy, making it a good replacement for the natural fluids found in the eye.
