Precautions and warnings

- Not recommended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or people with other skin, lung, or body infections.
- Always rinse your mouth with water after each inhalation.
- Do not apply to large areas, broken skin, or under bandages that cover the skin completely.

Drug Interactions

Using CYP3A4 inhibitors like ritonavir with fluticasone can increase the amount of fluticasone in your blood.

Contraindications

Allergic reactions: Do not use if you are allergic to this medication. Do not use for conditions like acne, rosacea, or perioral dermatitis, or if your skin has become thin or sensitive. Avoid using on viral skin infections such as herpes (cold sores) or chickenpox, or on skin with primary fungal or bacterial infections, or for itching around the anus or genitals. When inhaled, do not use in cases of severe asthma attacks.

Mode of actions

Fluticasone has a special chemical bond called a fluorocarbothioate ester at the C17 position. When used on the skin, it strongly narrows blood vessels and reduces inflammation, but it has only a mild effect on the body’s hormone system (HPA axis).

Dosage & Administration

Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin areas once daily.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required despite potential risks.

Mothers with a newborn baby who have used this drug during the last 3 months of pregnancy may seldom create symptoms including drowsiness, muscle stiffness or shakiness, feeding or breathing troubles, constant crying. If you notice any of these symptoms of your baby's particularly during their first month, tell the doctor immediately.

This medicine passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
