Mode of actions

Clobetasol is a strong steroid medicine used on the skin to reduce inflammation. It works by narrowing blood vessels and lowering the production of collagen. Neomycin is an antibiotic that kills certain bacteria by attaching to parts of their cells called ribosomes, which stops them from making proteins and causes them to make mistakes when reading genetic instructions. Nystatin treats fungal infections by attaching to a substance in the fungus’s cell membrane called ergosterol. This makes the cell wall leaky, causing the fungus to lose important cell contents.
