Asaline Fruty is indicated for

Precautions and warnings
If kidney function is reduced, or if there is severe ongoing diarrhea or other serious fluid loss, extra fluids may need to be given through an IV in addition to drinking oral saline.
Once saline is prepared for use, it should be used within 6 hours.

Mode of actions
Potassium chloride is mainly found inside cells. It helps send nerve signals in the heart, brain, and muscles, and is important for muscle contractions, normal kidney function, keeping the body’s acid-base balance, using carbohydrates, and making stomach acid.
Sodium chloride is mostly found outside cells. It helps control the balance of fluids and electrolytes, keeps normal water levels, and restores sodium levels. It is used to provide fluids and electrolytes for hydration, treat metabolic acidosis, prepare for kidney dialysis, and help manage high-blood-sugar diabetes. It’s also used as a liquid to mix other medicines for infusions.
Dextrose is a type of sugar that provides calories and helps with hydration. It prevents the loss of body protein and nitrogen, and helps store energy in the liver. When given with insulin, dextrose helps move potassium into cells, especially muscle cells, lowering potassium in the blood.
Sodium bicarbonate increases the pH of blood and urine by adding bicarbonate ions, which reduces acidity. It can also neutralize stomach acid by producing carbon dioxide.
Dosage & Administration
Daily dose should be equivalent to patients' fluid requirement for maintenance and replenishment of losses. During saline therapy mother should not stop breast-feeding to their child and normal food should be continued in case of adults.
Children less than 2 years: After each loose stool or vomiting 10 to 20 spoonful (50-100 ml) of prepared saline.
Children 2 to 10 years: After each loose stool or vomiting 100-200 ml of prepared oral saline.
Adult and children above 10 years: After each loose stool or vomiting 200-400 ml of prepared saline.
Pregnancy & Lactation
FDA has not yet classified this medicine into a specified pregnancy category. Although there is no enough evidence that taking this medicine during you are pregnant is harmful.
Discuss with your doctor if you are trying to get pregnant while taking this medicine too.
If you do become pregnant while you are taking this medicine, you should continue to take it and contact with your doctors as quickly as possible. They can assist you to decide whether or not to keep taking this medicine. If you abandon taking this medicine and become sick, this would be more pernicious to your child than staying on the medication.
There is no specific information about whether this medicine is passed on to the baby through breast milk. During this medication, if your baby becomes very sleepy, restless, fatigued, exhibit feeding problems, stop breastfeeding and talk to your doctors very quickly.
