Precautions and warnings
No lo use si tiene una tiroides hiperactiva (hipertiroidismo), problemas cardíacos como enfermedades cardíacas, latidos cardíacos irregulares o latidos cardíacos rápidos. Evítelo si tiene enfermedades de los vasos sanguíneos, como endurecimiento de las arterias (arterioesclerosis), presión arterial alta o aneurismas. También debe evitarse en personas con diabetes, glaucoma de ángulo cerrado, problemas renales o agrandamiento de la próstata. No utilizar durante el embarazo o la lactancia.

- desmayos y enrojecimiento. Necrosis y desprendimiento de tejidos; Necrosis miocárdica y arterial.
Drug Interactions
Existe un mayor riesgo de presión arterial alta y ritmos cardíacos anormales cuando este medicamento se usa junto con glucósidos cardíacos, quinidina o antidepresivos tricíclicos (ATC). El riesgo de constricción de los vasos sanguíneos aumenta si se administra con alcaloides del cornezuelo de centeno u oxitocina. Tomarlo con inhibidores de la MAO (IMAO) puede provocar un aumento peligroso de la presión arterial (crisis hipertensiva). También puede interactuar con anestésicos como ciclopropano, halotano y otros anestésicos halogenados, así como con medicamentos que reducen la presión arterial.
Contraindications
Hipertensión grave, feocromocitoma.
Mode of actions
La fexofenadina es un medicamento que proviene de otro fármaco llamado terfenadina. Actúa bloqueando los receptores de histamina H1 fuera del cerebro, lo que ayuda a reducir los síntomas de alergia en el sistema digestivo, los vasos sanguíneos y las vías respiratorias.
La pseudoefedrina actúa activando los receptores adrenérgicos alfa (?) y beta (?). Cuando estimula los receptores ?-adrenérgicos en el revestimiento de la nariz y las vías respiratorias, hace que los vasos sanguíneos se contraigan, lo que reduce la hinchazón y la congestión. Cuando activa los receptores adrenérgicos ?, relaja los músculos de las vías respiratorias, lo que le ayuda a respirar mejor y también aumenta la frecuencia cardíaca y la fuerza con la que late el corazón.
Dosage & Administration
Adultos y niños de 12 años en adelante: 1 comprimido dos veces al día administrado en ayunas con agua.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Aunque los estudios de reproducción en animales han demostrado un efecto adverso en el feto y no existen estudios adecuados y bien controlados en mujeres embarazadas, durante el embarazo este medicamento se puede utilizar sólo cuando sea definitivamente necesario a pesar de los riesgos potenciales.
Las madres con un bebé recién nacido que han usado este medicamento durante los últimos 3 meses de embarazo rara vez presentan síntomas que incluyen somnolencia, rigidez o temblores musculares, problemas para alimentarse o respirar, y llanto constante. Si nota alguno de estos síntomas en su bebé, especialmente durante el primer mes, informe al médico de inmediato.
Este medicamento pasa a la leche materna. Hable con su médico antes de amamantar.
