Precautions and warnings
Não use se você tiver tireoide hiperativa (hipertireoidismo), problemas cardíacos, como doenças cardíacas, batimentos cardíacos irregulares ou batimentos cardíacos acelerados. Evite se você tiver doenças dos vasos sanguíneos, como endurecimento das artérias (arteriosclerose), hipertensão ou aneurismas. Também deve ser evitado em pessoas com diabetes, glaucoma de ângulo fechado, problemas renais ou próstata aumentada. Não use durante a gravidez ou amamentação.

Drug Interactions
Existe um risco maior de hipertensão e ritmos cardíacos anormais quando este medicamento é usado junto com glicosídeos cardíacos, quinidina ou antidepressivos tricíclicos (ADTs). O risco de constrição dos vasos sanguíneos aumenta se for administrado com alcalóides do ergot ou oxitocina. Tomá-lo com inibidores da MAO (IMAO) pode causar um aumento perigoso da pressão arterial (crise hipertensiva). Também pode interagir com anestésicos como ciclopropano, halotano e outros anestésicos halogenados, bem como com medicamentos que reduzem a pressão arterial.
Contraindications
Hipertensão grave, feocromocitoma.
Mode of actions
A fexofenadina é um medicamento derivado de outro medicamento chamado terfenadina. Funciona bloqueando os receptores H1 da histamina fora do cérebro, o que ajuda a reduzir os sintomas de alergia no sistema digestivo, vasos sanguíneos e vias respiratórias.
A pseudoefedrina atua ativando os receptores alfa (?) e beta (?) adrenérgicos. Quando estimula os receptores ?-adrenérgicos no revestimento do nariz e das vias respiratórias, causa o estreitamento dos vasos sanguíneos, o que reduz o inchaço e o entupimento. Quando ativa os receptores ?-adrenérgicos, relaxa os músculos das vias aéreas, ajudando você a respirar com mais facilidade, e também aumenta a frequência cardíaca e a força dos batimentos cardíacos.
Dosage & Administration
Adultos e crianças com idade igual ou superior a 12 anos: 1 comprimido duas vezes ao dia administrado com o estômago vazio com água.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Embora estudos de reprodução animal tenham demonstrado um efeito adverso no feto e não existam estudos adequados e bem controlados em mulheres grávidas, mas durante a gravidez, este medicamento pode ser utilizado apenas quando definitivamente necessário, apesar dos riscos potenciais.
As mães com um bebê recém-nascido que usaram este medicamento durante os últimos 3 meses de gravidez raramente podem apresentar sintomas incluindo sonolência, rigidez ou tremores musculares, problemas de alimentação ou respiração, choro constante. Se você notar algum destes sintomas em seu bebê, especialmente durante o primeiro mês, informe o médico imediatamente.
Este medicamento passa para o leite materno. Converse com seu médico antes de amamentar.
