Precautions and warnings

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you have any of the following health issues: Kidney disease, renal stones, low or no stomach acid, heart disease, pancreas disease, a specific lung disease, and difficulties absorbing nourishment from food are all symptoms of kidney disease.
Aspartame may be present in some sugar-free calcium formulations. Consult your doctor or pharmacist about how to use this drug safely if you have phenylketonuria or any other condition that requires you to limit your consumption of aspartame or phenylalanine.
Side-effects
- GI discomfort e.g. nausea
- vomiting
- constipation; bradycardia
- arrhythmias. Dry mouth
- increased thirst or increased urination. Mental confusion
- milk-alkali syndrome.
Drug Interactions
If you use any of the following products, tell your doctor or pharmacist before using this one: digoxin, cellulose sodium phosphate, or some phosphate binders (such as calcium acetate).
Bisphosphonates, such as alendronate, tetracycline antibiotics, such as doxycycline, minocycline, estramustine, levothyroxine, and quinolone antibiotics, such as ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, and quinolone antibiotics, such as ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, and quinolone antibiotics, such as ciprofloxacin Separate your calcium doses from your medicine doses as much as possible. Ask your doctor or pharmacist how long you should wait between doses and if they can help you come up with a dosing regimen that works for all of your drugs.
Contraindications
Conditions associated with hypercalcaemia and hypercalciuria.
Mode of actions
Calcium gluconate/lactate is a compound that is used to prevent or cure calcium deficiency. It also aids in the performance of nerves and muscles, as well as regular cardiac function. Essential for neurotransmission, muscular contraction, and many signal transduction pathways, a bone mineral component that acts as a cofactor in enzymatic processes.
Dosage & Administration
Adult: PO 19-50 yr: 1,000 mg elemental Ca/day and >50 yr: 1,200 mg elemental Ca/day.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Although animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, but during pregnancy, this medicine can be used just when definitely required despite potential risks.
Mothers with a newborn baby who have used this drug during the last 3 months of pregnancy may seldom create symptoms including drowsiness, muscle stiffness or shakiness, feeding or breathing troubles, constant crying. If you notice any of these symptoms of your baby's particularly during their first month, tell the doctor immediately.
This medicine passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
