Precautions and warnings
Para evitar estimular o revestimento do útero, não tome mais de 8 mg por dia e não utilize esta dose máxima por mais de algumas semanas. Tal como acontece com todas as terapias de reposição hormonal, você deve fazer um exame médico uma vez por ano. Se você tiver uma infecção vaginal, também deverá receber o tratamento adequado ao mesmo tempo. Pacientes que apresentam qualquer uma das seguintes condições devem ser monitorados de perto: coágulos sanguíneos (trombose), problemas hepáticos graves, porfiria ou histórico - durante a gravidez ou durante o uso de esteróides - de coceira intensa, icterícia relacionada ao fígado, um tipo de erupção cutânea na gravidez (herpes gestacional) ou uma condição chamada otosclerose.

Drug Interactions
A eficácia deste medicamento pode ser reduzida se tomado com carvão ativado, barbitúricos, carbamazepina, griseofulvina, hidantoína ou rifampicina. Também pode afetar o funcionamento dos anticoagulantes orais. Além disso, pode aumentar os efeitos da succinilcolina, teofilinas e troleandromicina.
Contraindications
- Gravidez
- História de câncer de mama ou se houver suspeita de câncer de mama
- Câncer conhecido ou suspeito que depende de estrogênio, como câncer endometrial (uterino)
- Sangramento vaginal inexplicável
- Espessamento não tratado do revestimento uterino (hiperplasia endometrial)
- Coágulos sanguíneos passados ou atuais em veias profundas (como trombose venosa profunda) ou pulmões (embolia pulmonar)
- Problemas cardíacos ou arteriais graves, atuais ou recentes, como angina ou ataque cardíaco
- Doença hepática ativa ou história de problemas hepáticos se os testes hepáticos ainda não estiverem normais
Mode of actions
Estriol é uma forma natural de estrogênio. Ajuda a restaurar o revestimento normal da vagina. Acredita-se que tenha um efeito moderado no crescimento do revestimento uterino (endométrio). O estriol permanece nos núcleos das células do endométrio apenas por um curto período de tempo.
Dosage & Administration
Adulto: TRH na menopausa PO 0,5-3 mg/dia por 1 mês, depois 0,5-1 mg/dia.
Auxiliar de diagnóstico em esfregaço cervical atrófico: 2-4 mg/dia durante 7 dias antes da próxima colheita.
Infertilidade devido a hostilidade cervical: 0,25-1 mg/dia nos dias 6-15 do ciclo menstrual.
Atrofia do trato urogenital inferior relacionada à deficiência de estrogênio: 4-8 mg/dia durante a primeira semana, depois diminuir gradualmente para 1-2 mg/dia.
Vaginite atrófica da menopausa: Como creme (0,01 ou 0,1%) ou pessário (500 mcg): Aplicar 500 mcg uma vez ao dia, reduzir para duas vezes por semana posteriormente.
Terapia pré e pós-operatória em mulheres na pós-menopausa submetidas a cirurgia vaginal: 4-8mg por dia nas 2 semanas anteriores à cirurgia; 1-2 mg por dia nas 2 semanas após a cirurgia.
Queixas climatéricas como afrontamentos e sudorese noturna: 4-8mg por dia durante as primeiras semanas, seguidas de redução gradual. Deve ser utilizada a dosagem eficaz mais baixa.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Este medicamento não deve ser utilizado durante a gravidez. Pode ser absorvido pela pele e pelos pulmões, podendo danificar os órgãos do feto e causar deficiências congênitas. Dois tipos rigorosos de controle de natalidade eficazes, começando um mês antes e durante o tratamento e por três anos após a interrupção do medicamento. Discuta com seu médico se não tiver certeza de quais tipos de controle de natalidade são eficazes para você. Você deve fazer testes de gravidez regularmente durante o tratamento com este medicamento e por pelo menos três anos após tomar este medicamento. Se parecer que você está grávida, pare de tomar este medicamento e chame seu médico imediatamente. Se você realmente engravidar, perder a menstruação ou fazer sexo sem usar duas formas de controle de natalidade. Em alguns casos, o seu médico pode prescrever contracepção de emergência para prevenir a gravidez. As pessoas que tomam este medicamento não devem doar sangue durante o tratamento e nos três anos seguintes.
Este medicamento também é contra-indicado no leite materno. A amamentação não é recomendada durante o uso deste medicamento e nos três anos seguintes.
